Their pollo asado and carne asada is really good, whether you have it taco, burrito, or torta. I'd skip the adobada tho, it was lacking a bit in flavor

I showed up unannounced with 11 people for lunch. The staff was great and accommodated all of our needs. The food came out quickly and was very good. Great place to visit.

Solid local spot for good Mexican food. I've had various tacos and burritos here, all delicious and filling. Last time I came we ordered the large birria pizza for 2 people. It can definitely feed 3 or maybe 4. It's basically a giant delicious birria quesadilla. Would recommend!

Delicious little hidden gem next to a small airport. Menu is very diverse with plenty of creative and delicious dishes. My wife had the 2 in 1 burrito, and she said it was amazing. I had the surf and turf fries. The portion was exceptional and the flavor was top notch. The fries were on top of a giant tortilla, which was awesome, cause I used it to wrap my leftover fries in. Bonus lunch for tomorrow. And lastly my wife and I shared the rolled fish tacos. The sauce on top really tied the fish taco experience together. The restaurant also has a lot of different salsas to choose from, and its self service. All in all its a great little spot that definitely earned a loyal customer. Highly recommended and the price is right for the quality.

What kind of business is this? Answering the phone and hanging up on customers, leaving the phone on hold for a ridiculous amount of time, etc.

Love this spot, my favorite thing to order is the "queso tacos! " Good place for a lunch, dinner, or even a date. Parking is good, never have waited too long for my food. The salsa bar is good as well

Went to Sharp's Memorial hospital and took a break from waiting for my loved one to be released from ER.

Wanted to go to a Mexican place that was open late. To find the place using maps took me to the strip of businesses, but actually finding the restaurant was tricky. There is no signage for any of the shops.maybe the strip is remodeling? Idk.

It took a kind person parked next to me to tell it was down the way at the end of the row of shops.

I had the shredded beef quesadilla. The tortilla was hand made and delicious! The shredded beef flavor was mildly had the Mexican flavor, but when you add in the sauces, that's what made it taste really good!

I would come again if I was in the area again.

Went for Taco Tuesday. Oh yeah, they got the deals. Tacos specials are about $2 each, choose from a variety of meats (asada, adobada, carnitas, pollo, buche, cabeza), and fish is $1.50. Salsa bar and fixings are available. Beer and other drinks are offered. It is usually busy during Tuesday noon, but I've never had an issue finding a table. The tacos taste okay, but the deal is very good. My favorites here are carnitas and cabeza (yet to try birria).

My husband ordered food, paid for it then left. A little while after he got home he realized he was charged 3 times. We went back to the restaurant to let them know the ordeal, they basically told him there’s nothing they can do about it and for him to come back on Friday (which was 2 days later). Come back on Friday and now they’re saying there’s nothing we can do about it and that we have to go through our bank to dispute the transactions. The “manager” we spoke to name was Katy, she called Clover so she can dispute the transaction but didn’t have all the information to get into their Clover account. She then calls the owner of the place, who isn’t helpful at all, Katy let us know that he doesn’t even know the information to get in contact with Clover either. We asked if we could have the owners name, Katy said (verbatim) “No, I can’t give you the bosses name because he’s been scammed a lot and we don’t know his name and no one knows his name” That doesn’t make sense and sounds very sketchy! They were no help! The customer service was TRASH! Katy also stated that she already knows what Clover is going to say, she can obviously read minds through the phone, even though she stated this has never happened before, so she’s never had to call Clover! However, she also stated that they have charged customers twice before.

This place is pretty good. Not the best, but not the worst either. Everything seems to be pretty fresh but the portions are smaller than most other San Diego Mexican restaurants. Haven't had a bad meal in three different tries. The only warning is the beverages are unbelievably outrageously expensive, but the food is priced only a little above average. And I know it's not their fault, but the parking lot is small and tight so it's better to park on Sandrock on the north side of Aero drive.
The photo is of three fish tacos and a sparkling water. The fork is there for reference to size.

Good food but, sometimes really bad customer service!

Here you go now!
A couple of the ladies working at the front taking orders in have done the following:
After placing an order (usually we spend 80-100+ dollars eating).
They ask me to wait to give me the drinks (usually flavor waters) after helping other people in line.
Its okay to wait may be one or two more orders taken for the customers after me but not okay to wait until they finished taking everyone's order in line!
Last time they had me waiting for my drinks more than 25 minutes and by that time we had almost done eating our food.
This was very unacceptable.
I will seriously NOT be returning to this place at all.
Feel sorry for Pedro, whom puts all the effort on getting the taquitos and food the best way possible and quickly so customers would enjoy what they paid for.
Definitely, I will not be recommending this place to anyone that cares about customer service. Note, this has happened more than 3 times already. No more dealing with ladies with attitude and terrible customer service.

Love this place. Food is excellent and not greasy. The prices are great for large families.

This is our go-to place for Mexican food. But our last couple of experiences have been terrible. The previous time we ordered from there, we did takeout. We arrived, paid, and waited. After a bit, I started noticing that other people who came in after us, were getting their orders before us. Usually not a problem, but then I also noticed that there were a couple of burritos and Styrofoam containers sitting on the order up window that looked like our order. So i gave it another few minutes and still other people are getting their orders while we waited for our apparent order that was still sitting in the order up window. Finally I walked up to the lady at the counter and asked her if the food sitting in the order up window was ours. She was clearly annoyed and bitterly asked for my order number. It turns out it was our order and she bagged it and when I thanked her she said nothing and looked at me like I was just a burden to her.

Last night, we did a takeout order of rolled tacos. We got there a short time before they were ready. We paid, we waited a bit, they gave us the tacos, we made the 3 minute drive home, dug in and, surprise, the tacos were cold and soggy. It was like they were undercooked and barely thawed in the deep fryer. It was so bad that I only ate one. And since then, my stomach has been gurgling and I've yet to eat anything except pretzels the day after.

Two bad experiences in a row. Since before the pandemic they were knocking it out of the park with their food and their service. Maybe they're exhausted or I just happen to catch them on two bad nights. But after what happened I'm just going to give them one more chance. And if they're not back to their excellent self then I guess I have to find a new go-to place for Mexican food.

I canceled my order today after hearing that "Tony" was rude and refused a refund to a customer because they found twist ties inside their plates.

Photos are added.

With now having to go to the office two days a week, La Fuente is the one thing that really excites me about those days because their food is phenomenal. I have grown up in San Diego and I love my taco shops but this one stands above all the rest. Love the food, can’t get enough of it. I even come here on my non-office days to satisfy my cravings. Potato and queso tacos are my favorite but haven’t gone wrong with anything. Thank you.

VEGETARIANS BEWARE! At two different times they messed up my order and gave me chicken rolled tacos instead of potatoes tacos. I tried calling them to let them know but I keep getting sent to full inbox voicemail. Can’t trust this place again even though it was our go to Mexican place.
