La Guaira Bistro reviews
6Not only was the food amazing but the service was top notch also. This food truck was the most talked about food truck at Luna Del Lago festival in Peoria, Az.
I had the pleasure of meeting this team at the equinox festival I cannot stop thinking about this food. I was only able to try to dishes but they were absolutely incredible. Perfectly balanced, flavorful healthy delicious. If I ever get down this way, I will definitely be checking this place out again because it was that good.
Absolutely delicious. We decided to get some Venezuelan food at World Fest and we’re so happy we did. Now we know where it is and will be forever stopping eating their food.
The arepas are amazing. I usually stick with the classic shredded chicken and avo, but the pork shoulder in tonight's was killer too. The sauces for both flavors are super garlicky and assertive. Any time I see this tent, I'm having an arepa and hopefully bringing one to a lucky friend.
I’m MOSTLY sure that I’m writing a review for the right place…. At the 2022 Sierra Poetry Festival, La Guaira Bistro set up a station outside and served hot, crispy arepas to a line of hungry poets. Their filling with chicken in avocado aioli was…. Ineffably divine…. In fact, I could write poetry about it. And the chickpea patty with red kimchi (which I think was vegan—a great ethical option for the animal-rights activists among us!) was substantial, flavorful, satisfying, and almost embarrassing because I was trying to look composed in an auditorium of poets while drowning in the ecstasy of this thing. Oh, and the side salad was excellent as well- it delivered wholly on flavor unlike many overlooked “green salads”. I almost forgot to mention the lime agua fresca! I could drink a pitcher of that stuff!
Although the two staff members were faced with a downright unfair glut of customers, they remained extremely friendly and courteous to everyone. My order in particular took a long time because I ordered two different kinds of arepa, and they were so gracious about it, I felt like I’d made friends just by waiting patiently, haha! And another thing occurred to me: when I ordered two varieties, I expected a single-serving of all the accoutrements, but instead they gave me two full plates with salad, sauces, and everything—yet they only charged $25 for what should have been $30. I would gladly scout these folks out for another lunch or dinner sometime.
