Tony is an absolute all star on the maintenance staff! This man deserves a raise. Poignant on response times and gets the job done well as he is an expert in his craft.

For the few maintenance requests I have made, the maintenance team has responded very quickly and efficiently. No complaints on their responsiveness.

We (me and wife) lived there for only less than 2 months and moved away as we bought our house, paid the early termination fee per agreement, and we are fine with it.
We gave the apartment a thorough clean-up on the last day before we moved out, tried our best and left it clean and tidy - given that we only stayed for less than 2mo and we've been carefully maintaining our living space - all looked good as far as we can tell.
However, La Jolla Palms still charged us the a) apartment cleaning b) carpet cleaning fees (approximately $250 total, deducted from our $600 initial deposit). Naturally we disputed the charge because we don't see the needs of carpet cleaning + apartment cleaning as we did all those on last day. Interestingly, to dispute our dispute, they even showed us photos of faintly unevenly colored wall paint to justify these charges, as if we caused all that. They also attached photos of carpet, which looks clean to me, to justify the need to charge us the carpet cleaning.

We are responsible tenants and we didn't cause any of those, I can understand La Jolla Palms needs to order the work to give the apartment a "fresh look" no matter how carefully we cleaned it before moving out so it can be leased to next one, but billing this work on us is ridiculous and unethical. Especially when we have already left the apartment in the condition that we moved in. Throwing those photos to us in order to justify the cleaning charges smells like "picking bone from eggs", because unless we took photos for the exact same spot same location before we moved in (which of course we didn't, who would have thought of that), we are in the situation where we cannot prove any of the imperfection/stains in their photos weren't caused by us!

What's the take-away? To any new/prospective tenants, make sure take photos of EVERY SINGLE details of your apartment during pre-move inspection, save your photos and you will thank me after your move-out when La Jolla Palms decides to replay this show.

Consistent closures and breakdowns. Came home to find out that they are closing the pool for two months during the spring/summer for renovations after being closed for months last year for renovations. Your windows can’t be open because it will be dusty and your blinds will be drawn because people will be out there and no privacy.

In addition to all of this…. The water was turned off several days this month and this is VERY COMMON. Not to mention they’re “power washing” the side of the building during the same time, and tree trimming, so no outside space will be available. Horrible place to live.

A little expensive, but it was an absolute pleasure to live here! Everyone - the leasing office, the maintenance workers, the neighbors - literally every single person was friendly, kind and nice. We moved out in July 2021 and really wish we hadn't. The premises are lovely, the apartment is beautiful and I have literally no complaints. Like I said, a bit expensive, but really worth it!

Absolutely love living here! Best apartment complex in San Diego. You’re so close to everything you need, grocery store, Westfield UTC, Torrey pines, La Jolla shores/cove. For a man from Ohio this is a dream come true. Huge shoutout to Jennie and Damien for providing the ultimate experience for my girlfriend and I. Super happy overall with my experience and will be staying here for awhile.

Edward Myers (Leasing Consultant) is the best, he is very friendly and always answered our question promptly.

Living in Palms has been a fantastic experience. It's like being in a hotel with beautiful infrastructure, the amenities such as the pool and landscape are very peaceful and are gorgeous at night. The fitness center is quaint (although some free weights would be great), but for some light cardio and dumbbell workouts it gets the job done. I really appreciate Damien for all the help he's done in getting our lease together and making move-in a smooth experience with answering all of our questions, he's always in the leasing office and has been a friendly face whenever I have to clarify something. I'd also like to thank Jennie, Elliot, and Bryan for all their work and help with getting us settled in this home.

I moved here a few months ago cross country and couldn't have had a better experience because of the community manager, Elliott. He answered all my questions, helped me virtually tour, and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my apartment.

We moved to La Jolla Palms Apartment Homes in the end of August 2021. We had a very eventful cross-country move. However, Jennie and Damian from the La Jolla Palms management team went above and beyond and our move-in experience was like a breeze. They were great at communicating all the necessary steps that needed to be completed before move-in. They answered all of our questions and gave us all the essential tips to make our move-in day as easy as possible. It is fantastic to have an on-site team that aims for the highest resident satisfaction. We're very happy with our new home, the amenities and our on-site team. Thank you so much!

My wife and I were moving across the country and I would be lying if I didn't say that I was nervous about such a big change. When I first saw the photos of the apartment complex and the location, I knew we made the right choice, the Mediterranean style and convenient location were just what we wanted. The leasing team is what truly started making La Jolla Palms feel like home. Before we even left NY, Jennie was giving us helpful pointers and accurate answers to our concerns. When we finally got to meet her in person, it was like we already knew each other. Damian has been a true pro at getting us plugged into the best local spots and answering all our questions. If we call or stop by the office, there is always a friendly face ready to help. Everywhere else we have ever rented from could learn a lot from this management team. All of the maintenance crew I have met have been very friendly and we've only just begun to enjoy the amenities. I'm happy to call La Jolla Palms home!

Our tours went beyond our expectations! We checked out 4 apartments in La Jolla. Brandon McKnight was the best! He guided us step by step of our entire tour. He called and checked on us throughout the day, and to make sure our tours went smoothly and that we had a great experience! Brandon was so professional and pleasant! He is amazing! Thank you Brandon!

The most incredible apartment complex I've lived in. It truly feels like I live in a resort - the landscape, fountains, palm trees, pool/hot tub area, and the rooms are beautiful and so well kept! Damien, Elliot, and Jennie are AWESOME and always there to help us with anything we might need. Tony is also amazing who helps with any maintenance requests! La Jolla Palms is top notch in every way. It's so relaxing and the location is incredible - 10 min to beach, 2 min to whole foods/vons, close to so many amazing hikes, and walking distance to Westfield UTC. I can't recommend this place enough! We are SO glad we moved here!
