3Great place to get to the fishing grounds quicker instead of Mission Bay, just watch out for those who lack common sense in regards to traffic to and from the water
Easy access to drop off boat/kayaks. Nice beach, soft sand and well kept. Clean. Nice water access, no rocks, etc.
Kayak rental companies are little aggressive and busy, thinking they own beach near launch.
Clean restrooms and lifeguard patrolled area.
Very nice beach and boat launch. It was not busy at all when I went there, so unloading my kayak and getting it in the water was easy. Its close enough to kayak to the La Jolla coves or the pier. There is pleanty of marine wildlife to see. If you drive on the sand, make sure you have 4 wheel drive and good tires, or you will get stuck like I did. Overall I had a great experience and definitely will go again.
