My favorite time of the year. Dr. Hixson always takes his time, to make that little adjustment for myastigmatism to help my glass perfect. They have a wonderful selection of glasses to choice from. I was able to even get a second pair of frames just incase my kids broke one to swap out the lens. Everything is smooth from check in to checkout.

I have been going to La Mesa vision care for years now. Every single one of the staff members are very welcoming and helpful. The optometrist is honest and walks you through everything. 10/10 would recommend.

One of the better optical facilities in town. Decent selection of glasses frames for both men and women. Great customer service. Customers are by appointment only.

Dr. Giles is always so informative and professional, he makes you feel like he cares, and he does! My insurance used to be effective there in, but since 2015ish, it hasn’t covered Dr. Giles’ services, but I trust him and believe he’ll always be forthright, so I’m willing to pay out of pocket for my visits! He’s very gifted in his field! There are some really kind staff members there, as well, and they make you feel welcomed!

The Doctor is super professional. He cares for his patients a lot. No complains at all. I had one if the best experiences, and I been to a few optometrist so far. I will be coming to him from now on.

I’ve been coming to La Mesa Vision Care (Dr. Giles) since 2013! This is a place that I will one day bring my children to:) Professional and courteous!

Dr. Giles is the best i’ve been coming here since I was 13 years old, almost 10 years now and I have always loved my experience!

Dr. Hixson is very thorough and genuinely such a cool guy. I’m sad he is retiring, but also happy because he deserves it! The office staff is very helpful and friendly as well!

The doctors are great but the staff is rude and did not know what they were doing. Starting with the receptionist at the front. She doesn’t even look up to acknowledge the patient, and just says sign in. Another mishap was, they called me to tell me my contacts were in. I came to pick them up and I am told one box came in. Why did you call me if only one box for one eye came in? The response from the woman in back was, maybe we did or maybe we didn’t call you. Really, do you want to see the message that was left on my phone. I had to make two trips. At least take responsibility for your mistakes and get organized.

I was in for a visit today and am extremely dissatisfied with the customer service. I was in for an annual check up, I was made to pay cash when my insurance is taken by LMVC. I was allowed to make the appointment without anyone noting to me that what they thought was my insurance was not covered. But it is. Then I was given an eye exam by Dr. Hixon, who then refused to give me my prescription but did the exam and billed me for it; which again, I paid in cash but should have been charged to my insurance.

I have always come to LMVC because I liked Dr. Hixon, even though, your office always wants me to buy contacts and glasses through your office. I understand an eye appointment is likely getting reimbursed every year less and less, I work in healthcare and the same is happening to me. That is not an excuse to give me a hard time not going through LMVC to get contacts or glasses, I go where it is more affordable on my budget. But I come back every year because I like Dr. Hixon. I will not be coming in to the office anymore. I paid for services I did not get, I paid in cash when I shouldn't of.

Great experience! Greg Giles was professional, kind, and informative. The office was clean and all staff were very friendly.
