La Mixteca Market y Carniceria

This is a quaint meat shop in Oakley. They have a butcher shop, which has fresh quality meats. They now have small restaurant in the rear which have excellent food. The entire store is clean and immaculate. The staff is friendly and helpful. This is a great place to shop locally.

Always go here for seasoned meats, whether l BBQ or making tacos, chicken asada & pastor, always freshly prepped. Good variety of items & great service.

First time ever going to a spot like this. We bought about 7 lbs of meat, chicken and steak. Was delicious on the grill. Still eating it a week later. Friendly fast service.

Tia just picked up Menudowon’t be getting any there again. I’ve eaten tons of Menudo, this is at the bottom of my list. No hominy, tripe was not firm, it was very fatty, long slimy pieces, it was like they threw all the bad parts in and used the good pieces for something else. In my bowl I had three quarter size bones and small boney pieces the size of a tooth. Had to be careful not to crack my teeth. Didn’t finish it threw it away. Do not recommend. Sorry

I love this cute little grocery store. You can find fresh meat, cheese and veggies here. They sell authentic hispanic foods. If you are looking to make traditional hispanic meals/plates this is the place to go. They are open 7 days a week. You can also order fresh masa for those of you who plan on making tamales for the holiday season.
