La Nee Thai Massage reviews
15Be careful which massage therapist you get - I had Pao the first time I came here which was great but I had a terrible massage from the woman I got this time. It was like getting a massage from someone who had watched a video of a Thai massage but didn’t actually know how to give one and was just going through the motions.
It was average, if not subpar. My girlfriend could've done a better massage than that.
This is my favorite Thai massage place! They keep their prices low but have high quality therapists. My favorite is Mike!
Unfortunately this massage experience left me disappointed enough to leave a review. The therapist didn’t seem to have sufficient training, or skill. I’ve had the good fortune to experience 20-30 Thai massages in my life and this was at the bottom of my list. I gave feedback to the therapist throughout the experience but it didn’t improve sufficiently to enjoy it. They also required masks (even if you’re vaccinated) and don’t specify that ahead of time when you book. Wouldn’t go back. The front desk didn’t even ask me for feedback or say “how was it”, which I see as a sign of a poorly run eatablishment: I would have happily given her feedback directly.
One of my favorite Thai massage places. Nice ambiance, great massage, with just right amount of pressure.
This was my first visit and it was fantastic! The front desk woman was so kind and lovely. The service was so professional, timely, and efficient. I was in and out exactly when I should’ve been and I made the appointment just the day before. Will definitely be back!
We absolutely love going here for massages! We opt for the aromatherapy oil massage which is amazingly relaxing and deep at the same time. Gina and Pao are our favorites - they are exceptional massage therapists! We’re so happy with how consistently great it is and how kind and considerate all the employees are! Couldn’t recommend this spot more
Excellent massages and very reasonably priced. I can no longer imagine getting a massage anywhere else. The massages here have really helped my neck and shoulder injuries. My hot herbal Thai massage with Pui today was probably the best massage of my life.
A very professional operation, reasonably priced and great service. My practitioner, Mike, was skilled and I left feeling great. The traditional Thai massage isn't exactly a "relaxing" experience - it's intense! But therapeutic and very worthwhile.
This is one of my favorite places in San Francisco for a massage. They're as intense or calming as you want them to be, and I super appreciate the clean environment. Before your session, they ask you to identify tension points and pressure (as well as places to avoid) on a little laminated sheet. The therapists take this to heart and really give you what you ask for. The hot tea at the end is also nice.
Amazing Thai massage. A tad expensive, but you get what you pay for, and I would rather give my money to real professional s.
One of the many benefits of getting a massage from "Aey" at La Nee Thai Massage is to resume your life but moving ever so slowly.in everything you do.
I was beyond impressed with the service. Their massage therapists are all professionals. The place also was so convenient and the things they used are all cleaned. This place is highly recommended.
Great place to get a massage, La Nee is well run and has good safety measures during the pandemic. Friendly, professional, staff have consistently been the only ones I've encountered over the years. I've gone here many times and gotten great help for sore back legs or neck. My first massage since covid was yesterday and it it was great although masks can be a little challenging. Masks are of course mandatory and you should ask to turn your head if the mask makes it hard to breathe (I did and my understanding masseuse got me comfortable and kept us safer with the masks). You'll also have a temperature check and it's obvious they are doing a lot of extra cleaning between every customer (the rooms are also reconfigured to be much larger, presumably for spacing). I was pleasantly surprised to find myself feeling very safe and not at all worried about Covid.
Nice tea to go at the end, so I could drink it outside (masks remember) and I was on my way feeling better.
I had the worst massage of my life at this place. The therapist used strong pressure but did not know how to apply the pressure as to release the massage so it was a very uncomfortable massage. I should have left the session after 15 minutes, since I ended up leaving with more back, shoulder and neck tension than when I arrived. When I told the front desk, they told me I would never match with that masseuse again, but they would not offer me a coupon for a future session and that I couldn't repeat the same service to get better result and told me that their manager never comes in the business and they had no way to reach a manager other than a group chat to report the experience. I'm very disappointed with this level of customer service.
In a lot of businesses it is customary if you don't like your service, to repeat the service to your satisfaction. For example, if you receive a haircut you don't like, the business won't charge you again for a second haircut, they will fix the haircut to your liking. I'm very surprised that this business was not willing to do the same.
