La Perla Taqueria Méxican Grill reviews
15Chorizo and eggs are good and I especially like how it's serve all day. Portions are huge and represent a good value overall. They also have Modelo on tap. Service is consistently quick even though you order at a counter your food is ready by the time you sit down to some free chips at their salsa bar. For quality and flavor it is par for Northern Californian Mexican food. Fresh juice is worth it and the breakfast burritos are perfect!
Best dang burrito I’ve ever had! I’m 61 and have not eaten at a better Mexican restaurant.
I walked into this place on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions. I ordered the combo plate with an enchilada and a Chile relleno. When it was served, the food looked even better than the picture on the menu, and it tasted delicious. I also liked their free chips and salsa bar. I'll be back for sure.
Best tacos in Chico, by far. Super flavorful, quick service, legit. We'll be back for sure!
My torta seems like just all bread and little almost no meat. Tacos to baya makes a better and less expensive torta.
Here it was over 11 dollars!
Perfect. Always perfect. Foods great, the people who run the place care about their food. Eat some!
Good food, good price, only complant and its really not a complant, the tv is always in Spanish but its a Spanish restaurant so.
My wife and I booked this place to cater our wedding and while the food was good, the way we were treated by the owner was completely unacceptable. We had issues with him multiple times, and should’ve taken those early signs as a red flag. Some of which even happened during our wedding and caused tremendous stress. Please stay away from this place if you’re trying to find a caterer. Owner is extremely rude and not professional. He will change what he proposed in his original agreement. There are better options out there. If we knew what we know now, we would’ve paid more for a better caterer.
Ordered a chicken burrito and it had a chunk of plastic in it. I brought it back to the counter to show the manager and, his words, "oh that's normal because the chicken comes in plastic. "
I've eaten here a few times over the years and it's always been mediocre, affordable, but mostly a place to eat in a pinch. I figured it must be an authentic-enough taqueria. I'll think twice from now on. At least management didn't hesitate to refund my money.
I won't be going back. Wouldn't recommend anyone else eat there.
I just paid 12$ for a borrowed the size of a Taco Bell bean and cheese burrito! It’s smaller than a bottle of water! They should be super ashamed! No wonder the lobby was empty! It was a bean and cheese burrito with veggies.
Excellent seasoning in the food in the different dishes.
Very good service and affordable prices.
Food was tasty and fresh. I have shrimp cocktail which was not bad the lengua tacos were fresh
They were fast and the service was friendly but the food was a disappointment. The chili Verde had no Verde flavor and was more like a pork Asada. The big chunks of tomato we're not as palatable as pico generally is. I will give them credit for portion size and I may give them another chance in case this was just an off day, but if it's not I hope they develop better recipes. In addition, there parking is very limited and since there was nobody in the I have to suspect their employees took up all the parking spaces closest to the door.
I've visited La Perla Taqueria a few times now and have had a consistently good experience. Friendly service and delicious, quality mexican cuisine. The restaurant lobby is kept clean tidy and the interior decor is very nice. Great downtown Chico location too!
It was my birthday and I ordered a fried mojarra and I asked for it to be golden. But they brought me a mojarra barely dipped in the oil. And I didn't like it, I asked them to brown it for me, it took them a long time afterward because they sent it to me all ugly and almost burnt. It was very sad afterwards, I better asked them to give me a mold to take away and I didn't even eat it and my birthday dinner ended very sadly.
