La Placita Restaurant reviews
5Bomb Chiliquile burrito! I know I spelled it wrong but you know what I'm saying. It was pricey $15 but it was huge. The place is super small but I'd rather get it to go anyway. Ill go back for more for sure! I burrito can feed 2.
If I can give a zero I would. This has got to be the worst restaurant I’ve ever eaten at, and I’m so ashamed too because I honestly had high hopes for this place. I’m all for supporting small local restaurants and businesses, but this made me not want to go to another small restaurant ever again. First and foremost, our server. She was not helpful at all, she was more attentive to another guy that came in, not too sure if they were flirting or whatever but not once did our server come and check up on us. Secondly the food. The food was absolutely atrocious. I ordered the birria de res and my girlfriend ordered 3 tacos de pescado. My birria honestly tasted more like cinnamon than it did a caldo, the caldo had a small foul smell but I tried to disregard it as “other people’s way of cooking. ” My girlfriends fish tacos were both wayyy too salty and burnt. The only good thing about this restaurant was the soda. Authentic Mexican soda, but that’s very concerning when the soda is better than the actual food… The only reason I came to this restaurant was because of social media influencer “Trendy Eats” she clearly took a bribe from them because this food was not good whatsoever. And to top it all off this place is not cheap at all. All we ordered was a caldo de birria, 3 fish tacos, a coke and a bottle of water and everything totaling almost 50 dollars!
I love the pozole and menudo very delicious, the staff are very friendly.
Great mexican food. They have an excellent hand made tortillas and really good coffee.
We visited the restaurant and I ordered a lunch, eggs, chilaquiles, that's excellent, we also ordered a menudo, it was the worst I've ever tasted, honestly it stank, I told the waitress very discreetly since the place was full and I didn't want people to notice bill. I told him it tasted like hell and it smelled horrible, he just removed the plate and smiled.when asking for the bill they had the cynicism to charge it.
I paid and left the place, the first and last time I visit them.
