La Quinta Inn by Wyndham San Diego - Miramar

My single king room was very spacious. I was thinking it would make a perfect studio rental. Plenty of towels a recliner & desk, coffee maker, microwave & large dorm frodge. The odor was too much. Smelled like old lady's underwear drawer. Old, stale mothballs mixed with dime store perfume. It was powerful. Jan 2023, they're remodeling rooms. The security deposit is $50 but it's tied up as ACH transaction for a week. No receipt either. Deposits need to be electronic debit eso for travellers & those with financial hardships.

Budget friendly hotel that can find in San Diego. They offer breakfast as well. As the hotel is near by highway, the noise from highway is something you have to tolerate. Overall experience is good.

The a large portion of suites are being remodeled while they still allow guests to use old suites. I was supposed to stay here for 2 nights and there was loud noise in the middle of the night, trash and construction debris everywhere. I’m here now and we have no water whatsoever. This got to be one of the worse hotel experiences.

This place is a nightmare. Floor is dirty. Fridge makes noise and it was so loud! We couldn't sleep at all.

The $25 (+tax) /day for pets is unacceptable + $50 deposit. All other motels we have stayed that claim to be pet friendly either have no charge or $10.

This property is under renovation and is cluttered with materials, dust, tools, etc. One of the elevators (the one nearest our room, of course) was inexplicably out of order for our entire stay, the breakfast was sorely lacking in choice, coffee was terrible, room wasn't cleaned and room amenities weren't replenished. Very disappointing for this brand.

Pro: it’s the cheapest in the area, good service in the front desk.
Contra: Room is old, bathup has stains, there are trashes of old mattress just stacked up in the end of parking lots, homeless guy in the parking lot. Basically it has all the reason to be the cheap

The motel was ok for a stop over on way to airport. Close to highway, clean, staff helpful, but the area was not very good.

Horrible the room was trash. And the water was brown and the chairs in the room had old stains on them like it came from someone’s house and they had bed bugs and the room smelled like spoiled meat the smell was very strong that it got stuck all over our clothes. And our room door didn’t shut all the way and there showers didn’t drain. If I could take my one Star away I would this is not a good place to stay. And I stayed a night in a half and they charged me for 3 nights and the guy told me told me that I would have a refund when I left early but he lied and told me that’s not how it worked.

Bed was comfy. Room appeared clean. Staff was kind. Something needs to be done about the smell of the room. Its smells like dirty, crusty dog. Not urine/feces smell. Unbathed, feral, overflowing kennel, dog smell! Plenty parking and amenities close by.

Don’t stay here. Overall very dirty hotel. Rooms smell of mold and there’s visible mold on walls and tub in the bathrooms. We switched rooms and experienced the same issue twice. There must have been a water leak at some point. Looks like they’re planning on a renovation but I’d avoid until that happens. On a positive note, front desk was understanding and issued us a refund and we found another hotel for the night.

My husband and I stayed there for 1 night while we were in San Diego. The room we stayed in was a converted frim a 1 bedroom apartment that had the stove/oven removed but it did have 2 microwaves and a full size fridge. The kitchen isn't stocked with anything so if you're wanting to cook or heat up something to eat or drink, you'll need to bring your own plastic cups, paper plates, and plastic utensils. The bed was actually pretty comfortable for being a standard mattress and box spring. The bathroom had a double vanity which was nice but it was actually quite low but, it worked out really well since I need to sit to do my makeup. So, I put a chair from the dining room between the sinks and since the light was nice and bright, it really worked out for me. However, there were no cups for rinsing after brushing your teeth. The room was on the freeway side and yes, traffic is loud but it's not really too bad. The a/c units work really well and kind of drowns out the traffic noises. The decor is rather dated and the room needs a face-lift pretty bad but, overall, it suited our needs really well.

Stayed here for one night. Overall the entire place appears to be run down. There was a strange smell in the room. Bathroom/shower was not clean when we arrived. Could barely use the sink since there was a very strong odor especially when you turn on the water.

DO NOT STAY HERE!
The outside of the hotel is run down and very dirty on the outside! I needs to be powerwashed and painted so bad.
The walkways were also fifty!
Inside the room was also bad. There was hear in the bathtub and carpeting was very stained and smelled so strong of a deodorizer that I could hardly stand it. Furniture was also dirty! Arms of the chair were very sticky They need to ose this place down and remodel it of tear it down. Sad that is a La Quinta!

Loved it! It’s so clean and it does looks just like the pictures we came because we went to Seaworld is only 26 min away! The food place next to it it’s also bomb! The amenities are good too, will defiantly stay here again!

Room is gross. Out dated and worn out. Mildew in the corner where tub is leaking. Smells bad. Not worth even 100 a night.
