La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham San Diego Mission Bay

Don’t not stay here! Found cockroaches in my bathroom and left this hotel I was so disgusted. There’s construction going on at the moment and the construction workers are smoking weeds throughout the parking structure. The only good thing was the guy who check in my in he was was so friendly and nice.

Location is on 2 busy streets. Small parking lot. Hard to get in and out if. Worse during high traffic times.

Really nice hotel. It was our first time staying here but it was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was also close to attractions and the beach which was great.

Continental breakfast provided was pitiful. Didn't even go the second morning. When we got there many items were no longer available. It was to be open for nearly another hour. After we had gotten some yogurt, juice, and a waffle and sat down, they replenished the omelets and sausage. The omelet was awful. It was a cheese omelet with what tasted like a fake cheese. No syrup for waffles. Later I saw someone with a pitcher of syrup. Possibly someone had taken it to their table so others didn't even know it was available. I had to use jelly.

The banana was the best thing about the breakfast.

No staff was consistently there to ask questions or request replenishing food items or paper goods. The area definitely needs better monitoring by staff.

We were not told at check-in the hours for breakfast and there was nothing in the room that provided that information.

Rude desk staff. Frequently no desk staff when looking for them at the counter, and trying to reach them by phone. Being a "top-level", Diamond customer didn't mean a thing at this property. If I had known, I would have stayed about 30 miles north of San Diego, in Carlsbad. Wish I had now.

Water pressure is bussin even on the top floor.

First time staying here and I don't know if I would come back.

The parking is the biggest issue. If you drive a big truck or even a mid sized truck it is difficult to get in and out of the parking at this hotel.

I did not like the free breakfast options they had so I skipepd on that.

The service was good, front desk person was very nice.

Room was clean, no issues with the room.

There are many reviews which are not favorable here. This is a limited service hotel in a decent location. Please check your expectations at the door. It worked for me and my travel plans. I will come back here in late August when attending a conference near PB to avoid the 399/nt resort charges.

This was my first time staying at La Quinta Inn. The person who checked us in was Eric. Eric was so helpful, friendly, and polite. There is a $50 hold, and it's refunded after you check out as long as there is no damage to the room. We had a king-size bed, and it was comfortable. Nice size room. There are lots of outlets for charging. Had lots of storage space. There was a closet and a dresser. They provided complimentary breakfast between 630a-9am. Side note: You have to use your card key every time to enter the building from the parking structure. Well, that's the only entrance I used.

Great service clean rooms clean restroom excellent customer service will stay here on my next trip to SD!

Their improperly marked garage destroyed the roof racks on my car. Made it into the garage perfectly fine and then the garage got much lower with no signage or warning at all. If you make it into the garage entrance ur supposed to be good to go and anything lower is required to be marked. Owner has completely ignored me and told the manager that they aren’t responsible for any damage and basically told me to kick rocks. I am currently looking into the rules and regulations of parking garages to see if I have a case but it’s probably not worth my time and will have to pay for damages out of pocket. Used to love La Quinta hotels but because of this owner (M. Patel) I will not be supporting La Quinta any longer.

We stayed for 3 nights and felt that overall this was a great value and had all we needed. We brought our little dog and had no issues with anything. This is a no frills hotel, if you are looking for more then go elsewhere. It was conveniently located and easy to get to. It was clean and the free breakfast was just fine. There is some freeway noise and a Dog kennel near by so you hear some barking at times, but not overly annoying. If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel to sleep in (especially with a pet) this is a good choice.

The odor from the room as we opened the door was very unpleasant. The area we ate breakfast in wasn't clean! All the tables that were available still had food on them even though no one was sitting there. I had to get a napkin to wipe off our table. I had to go find the hostess to wipe off our table and refill the juice machine. She was on her cell phone in the back room where the dishes were. No microwave was available.

Amazing location, very clean room, good service, free parking. If breakfast can be improved il give it 10/10

Good value, room was large and it included everything I needed, but the TV did not work well. Staff was nice. Location is not great but still within walking distance from a trolley station. Breakfast was bad. Still giving 4 stars mostly considering that it was relatively inexpensive for San Diego.

Food was cold and microwaved Potatoes and sausage. I don’t eat any microwaved food and think there should be a sign that says microwaved food our labeled some how.cold rubbery microwaved sausage and horrible un eatable potatoes

Hard to find this hotel and its lobby if you do not have GPS. Tucked away behind a couple of buildings and adjacent to a self storage facility on a narrow alleyway.
Ample parking available but stalls are challengingly tight - glad I have a rental and not my own vehicle.
Rooms are clean, beds comfy, well insulated rooms - did not hear anything at night.
Bathrooms are nice and clean, but bath towels seem small as a bath towel.
The pool seem clean but zero view.
A/C works fine.
Mini-fridge is like a freezer.
Room cleaning did a decent job.
Breakfast is plentiful for the most part - though they ran out of banana bread the first day. Waffles seems to be out of a package. Toaster is fast and efficient. Coffee canteens seems hard to pump every morning. Ample milk, cream, and yogurt available.
Despite the challenges, I did enjoy my stay.

The room service is horrible. They made my wife and I feel unwelcomed from the very beginning and the ONLY reason why we extended our stay was because it was cheaper to do so, that's it.

They claimed that we made a mess of the room so much they couldn't clean it. The beds weren't even slept in. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who has a disability or a animal companion. They will stick u in the worst room they have. No carpet, cold floor, bad refrigerator. I'm done.

This place is terrible. The parking is an absolute nightmare, and the building reminds me of a prison compound. I have stayed in some pretty sketchy hotels, but this one is at the top of the list. The front and back roads that this hotel is on have tons of homeless people along them that are camped out in their vehicles/ tents that are blasting loud music all night. The parking garage (s) that belong to the hotel also have tons of homeless people in them scoping out cars and digging through the trash cans. I absolutely would not feel safe bringing my family here or having to walk anywhere from the hotel. The rooms are okay, but the hallways smell like mold and marijuana. There is a large brown/red stain on the chair in the room, and all of the wood on the vanity in the bathroom is rotting. Overall, I would not recommend staying here. Pay the extra price to be in a safer area.
