La Taqueria reviews
10Busy spot in the Mission. Overhyped. Tacos were ok. Salsa was fresh. Liked the guacamole and chips but nothing mind blowing. I guess I was expecting it to be more authentic and it just didn't live up to the "best in the city" label hype for me.
Best tacos in SF, made by locals! The food is perfect, recommend the beef burrito for sure!
Literally the best tacos I’ve ever had. Makes me a little sad knowing that I will never have tacos this good unless I go to Mexico, but happy that I had this experience: ’) The cabeza and the lengua are definitely the best! And highly recommend the strawberry agua fresca (it’s better than the mango)!
Update: the lengua burrito is perfect. It’s burrito perfection, and I love it. It pairs so well with their green salsa that they have on the tables. And they had a live mariachi i band when I was there in a Saturday evening! So good!
We had the famous super burritos carnitas asada and I have never eaten burritos that were that good before. Incredibly tasty, fresh and a little spicy, I cannot recommend enough! Thank you so much Ricardo!
Awesome food. My cab driver said to lookout for people who may break the law outside and around the place.
I arrived with high expectations but left underwhelmed enough to write a review. My chicken super burrito was quite liquidy, readily folding itself in half before I opened it. The chicken had typical flavor but was sparse and contained quite a bit of gristle. The guacamole was tasty and tacos looked good but it was poor enough that I may not give it a 2nd try.
There are so many better options nearby, from el faro and taqueria Cancun to papalote or even little chihuahua.
Everything is very tasty, the only thing is that you should always be prepared to wait in line because it is always full.
Wanted to give it a chance, I am a taco addict,
especially when I heard it is one of the best in SF BUT it wasn't worth the wait. Hard taco is so oily and all meats are mushy especially if you get super (with avocado and cream sauce) it feels like tasteless soup. Melon aqua fresco was okay. Nothing special about burritos. Wanted to try everything and got the chips and salsa guac mix, salsa is sooo dry guac feels like it is only a crushed avocado. Cool atmosphere, pretty authentic though.
This place has been around folove love the carne asada taco the meat is tender yum.
Don't go a lot because they are kind of pricey and it's a tourist spot. But every so often I. Will splurge and order a steak taco To once again, taste that tender meat. And take a stroll down memory lane
Straight FIRE. Heard a local order the carnitas tacos spicy and crunchy (not on the menu) so copied her order and it was insane, tacos are huge, also got the carne asada burrito w creama and avo, very generous. Think Farolita burrito is bigger and better but hard to say. This place is amazing and the ambiance is a vibe. Thank you!
