Ladda Thai Cuisine reviews
17Wonderful Yellow Curry! I asked for Thai Medium spicy mess and they delivered perfectly. (The heat is right at my limit of loving it, but not quite too hot). Everything was fresh and very tasty. I’m from out of town, but would happily frequent this place on my next visit to San Jose. Enjoy!
The food is not good but pricey. We called to order but they forgot to make our food. Sigh
I have been in this area for years since they were in another spot of the plaza. Every time I came (due to no time to go to other places) was a disappointment. No exceptions
I love red curry, and here I found a good place, the lady who serves is very friendly, I loved the red curry, it is delicious
It seemed the place runs differently during weekdays when they probably get a lot of foot traffic from all the business locations around them. They have cooked food on display and you pick what you like from it and get served. There was table service when we went, no one else was there, we parked on the street. Food was very bland for our taste for the eight different items that were ordered. The vegetables were fresh on any of them. The serving size was good.
I was looking for food close by to an event I’m attending, and this Thai had very good reviews, so I decided to try it.
The lady was nice, and willing to make for me basil fried rice, even though it was not on the menu (super basic Thai dish). When she asked how spicy I wanted it, I asked if this was an American or Thai scale (as that can be very different). She said it’s Thai, so I asked for mild (which is still supposed to be spicy if it’s a Thai scale). I asked if the price would still be the price as is marked FOR ALL fried rice/noodle dishes. Her response was that the price is actually $1 more, because the menus are 4 years old (then why not update the price on the menu?), but since I asked, she’ll respect the menu price. So far so (so so) good.
The dish arrived and was not only zero spice, but also almost zero flavor. The chicken was super hard, there were two basil leaves in the whole plate, so that didn’t really add flavor. It was basically just blah. Thai food is not supposed to be blah! It’s supposed to be full of flavor! Anyway, I asked for the spicy fish sauce they always have at Thai restaurants, so I could add some flavor. The response was that they don’t have fish sauce. At all. At a Thai restaurant? That’s one of the most basic Thai condiments
Instead, all they had to offer was a store bought spicy sauce… Talk about your “authentic” Thai food…
Honestly, I just felt bad about giving it a lower rating, but I really wouldn’t recommend coming here if you want good Thai food. The Bay Area has tons of good authentic places to choose from…
Great food. The portions are generous and the family who owns the restaurant are friendly and their restaurant is very clean. I highly recommend this place.
Found small hair in the food and rice as well.can't show them because it was a take away.
This restaurant is one of the best Thai places I’ve ever been to. We got Thai teas, pineapple fried rice, and red curry with chicken. Everything was incredible. We weren’t planning to share but ended up sharing equally because we couldn’t decide what was our favorite. This will for sure be my go to anytime I’m flying in or out.
Worst pad thaï ever, no taste, no peanuts… really not a joke this is really bad thaï food. Only very bad noodles. Not surprised that the restaurant was empty so good point you won’t have to wait to eat some horrible frozen food.
Worst Thai food I have ever had. You can judge a Thai restaurant by their pad Thai. If that is not excellent, nothing else will be good. The pad Thai was terrible. I have had better pad Thai from a frozen dinner out of the groceries store. Bland, no flavor, no peanuts, awful. Spring rolls were meh.
I found this place waiting for my flight. The food is reasonably priced and delicious. The staff is super friendly. There wasn't too many people at the place (I was there on a Wednesday night around 630) but don't let that deter you from trying this place out. You won't regret it
I was staying at a nearby airport and decided to try this place for lunch because it was convenient. I was pleased with the service and food. I recommend the pineapple red curry. The portions are perfect and you can customize the spiciness of the food to your liking.
Best thai food I have had ever, my Thai tea was excellent, tofu appetizer was excellent with sweet and sour sauce, pad thai was perfect and pad broccoli the same! Five stars!
The food is not tasty at all! I came with my husband 3 months ago and the chicken had a bad taste! The place from outside is looking good but inside completely simple
I ordered spring rolls and combo sea food.
Spring rolls were just ok. Really, nothing inside, but freshly fried.
Combo seafood: 2 small shrimps, 4 very small pieces calamari, 2 very small breaded catfish, lots of sautéed onions, and small pottion of bell pepper, plus small portion rice. Not a tasty meal at all.
They should've called it combo onion dish!
Total 27$.
Worst Pad Thai I’ve ever had. Staff/ownership has no pride in their food. Kitchen looked pretty distraught from behind the counter. Don’t recommend.
2 star for halal otherwise not a good place to eat.lots of hidden charges. We ordered tom yum with chicken but served us with shrimp.my husband has bad allergy with shrimp.we didn't say anything because there was only two old person was working.bad experience
