The people that work there are rude they dont no how to talk to patients and on top of that they have the nreve to show your medication list to other nurses like making funn of you until i said o wasn't there for medication she rudely ask me then why are you her for o said to see of i could get back sutgery she said well ur in the wrong place

The staff are caring and pleasant. Dr Elbo Winchell is very attentaive, listens to her patients needs and informative. Shes very caring, kind and always has a great smile.

I'm a patient here and they're doctors are great and skillful with administering spinal injects. I've had several here and I'm no longer nervous before my procedures. Plus they're easy to talk to. And the front staff and doctor's team are awesome, too!

This place is utterly ridiculous. I’ve had to bring my husband here (LAGS Oxnard surgery center) 4 or 5 times now, and they are always overbooked to the point there aren’t enough seats for people in their tiny waiting area. They are also ALWAYS running way behind. He has never gone in on time, not once. Not even close. This time we arrived at 9: 25 for a 10am procedure, only to immediately be told they’re already an hour behind in their appointments.at 9am! And now that they’ve moved the office next door to the previous one, they will not let the people who are waiting for a patient to undergo a procedure, use the damn bathroom! They make you wait hours past the appointment time for the patient and then deny you the restroom. I’m completely disgusted by this place and the way they “do business”. I absolutely hate this office and I hope I never have to bring him back here again. If I could give negative stars, I would.

The surgery center is a lot better and more on the ball.
If your trying to get in good luck,
You practically have to bug them on the phone daily to hear back in a reasonable time or they’ll never call and let you know what’s going on if I had better insurance I’d go somewhere else they need more front desk people or something,

UPDATE: 1 Reason for urine tests on the spot when asked, is to make sure I am taking the prescriptions, not just to check for what else I may have taken. Unfortunately, there are those who get the meds to sell or trade and makes it harder for us that take as prescribed. Leaving facility to test elsewhere offers opportunity to manipulate test results. It is what it is. I am not insulted by staff doing their jobs. I am bummed by people who have made it so hard for everyone else. ORIGINAL POST: Been going to Lags for well over 2 years. They offer alternatives such a acupuncture, pain relief injections to a specific site, and offer certain referrals. Being open and honest on my part allows them to provide excellent care. I have no problem with giving urine (pound water before every visit), or bringing in my script for pill counts. If I perform my part of the contract (yes there is a contract for care), then my needs are met. Pain management does not mean pain eradication, but they help make my life a whole lot easier. I was crushed by a car when young, have fibromyalgia and a few other medical problems. Winchel Elbow is awesome as is Dr Brown. And for the poor girl who wanted to write to Dr Lags, sorry, there is no such person. Lags is just the name of the clinic. Wish you well.

They waited after to tell me that the acupuncture they did to me today is not for weight loss and the insurance doesn't cover for it and my Gold Coast Health insurance told me it covers it. You guys waited after you guys did acupuncture to me it was for pain not weight loss, bad service here.

People who call to remind you make an appointment are RUDE! Front desk RUDE! I don't i hate this place like i said the people who work here are very rude!

Front desk staff and doctor are very friendly and personal. I wish i had found them sooner. Dr. Virginia Thomas is an awesome Dr.

Office girls are rude. The doctor thinks everyone is there to get addicted to pain meds so expect to leave with Ib prophin and stay in pain

Ad post doctors offices. They schedule appuntamento at 12: 15 pm. Still not see 2: 15 pm. This is a ridiculous. People are in pain. This spinale tap procedure take 15.minutes.

Awful, awful and more awful. They have the worst medical ethical manners. I wanted to put a grievance against them and they wouldnt let me write to Dr. Lags to let him know of the horrible treatment i was recieving. They treated me as a drug seeker. I have suffered from chronic pain all my life and for the first time in the laat 2 years i have been treated with meds and its sad that they treat every patient as a drug seeker. I also became severe allergic to some meds and they wouldnt change the medication. They wanted me to take over the counter. If my pain would be relieved woth otc meds i wouldnt need to see them. Glad my doctor refer me elsewhere

Winchell Elbo went from the best to the worst. Won't accept a BLOOD test showing the meds in my system. This is now the 5th day without pain meds. Lags is where my addiction to narcos came from now she cuts me off because I couldn't pee. I offered to, and did get a blood test, they aren't acknowledging it.

The Thousand Oaks location is HORRIBLE. The office staff play God and the new guy is a self righteous prick. They know nothing about chronic pain and treat every patient like they are addicts looking for drugs.
I will NEVER go there again and if I could give it zero stars, I would.
Oxnard is a little better, at least they see you in the order you arrive and don't make you wait three hours while taking other people ahead of you like T. O does.
