Great park with lots of space, single bathroom and nothing else but snow so bring your own gear

Of course it is a great place to park your car and trailer while you're snowmobiling. It is beautiful all year long.

Good place for sledding, snowshoeing cross country, groomed highway to walk just to get to nature.

Well managed parking area and very large places for loading and unloading snowmobiles from your trailers. Well salted although if you get there after dark there is some ice on the ground so be careful! It is a little bit of a walk away from the closure gate before you can get on the snow though. Wish it was closer.

An easy snowshoe to this lake just past the turn-off to Bear Valley Ski Resort on Highway 4. You have to park on the side of the road just before where they don't plow the snow any more. There is a gate there. Hike for 3/4 of a mile on or next to the snow-covered road.

In the summer, the lake is just as beautiful, offering some very nice kayaking.

Always a nice place to be, no matter the conditions. Friends and family in the high Sierra Mountains
