Lake Elsinore Vista Point

A sorta hidden gem of southern California. I always loved making the drive up Ortega Highway from Orange county and stopping at this point to look out at Lake Elsinore. It was always a great viewpoint. Well worth the time to drive up there. Go up early in the day because it can get pretty full of people and depending on where you live, the drive back can be full of traffic.

It's a shame people in this state still find it necessary to litter and spray tags on everything. Replete with broken bottles and reeking of urine, it would be hard to call this worth checking out. The views from the lookout point are beautiful, but y'all love living in filth, apparently.

This is a great view day and night. It's overlooking the Lake Elsinore, Murrieta, and Temecula area. On most days you can see the San Bernadino mountains with Big Bear and the Palomar mountain to the right. At night u can see a little sliver of the Riverside area lights. And all the lights of the cities mentioned above. It's definitely a peaceful spot to take in the moment and take a break from the drive on Ortega Highway. I really like this spot.

Such a beautiful veiw of the city. Nice, calm, and quiet. Great place to be at for the sunrise or the sunset as long as you get to watch the city.

Great view but there was trash everywhere. No upkeep what-so-ever. We filled the one grocery bag we had with trash we picked up, and then we left.

It's a nice spot to enjoy view of Lake Elsinore and Earth. If you have a chance, bring trash bag with you to pick up a little of the trashy mess left by others.

Great view, bad turn out. Dangerous to pull off into, dirty, and small crowded space. If you pull over, crossing the mtn road lanes, park, get out, and try to get a selfie.don't let your dogs out, little kids, or anyone that needs assistance out on their own here, and stay off the rock walls, which are crumbling.but a great view on a good day.

Excellent view of the milky way, but a clear view of the stars (constellations) I just don't know them all

It's a cool spot to stop at as a quick rest stop or stop for a couple mins and look over the view

The place is small but the view is amazing. Just need to be clean up and a least put benches to be able to sit down and enjoy the view. I enjoy it.
