The loop was set in a panoramic valley of lake views & a snow capped mountain range. We felt like we were in Colorado. The spot we had (hookups) was not especially clean, but for a SRA it was par for the course. The wooden picnic benches need to be replaced. Peaceful, with birds & squirrels, until the loud mariachi type music began & the neighboring campers who played it began an expletive rage at each other that went on all day. I suppose 35 years ago it was a better place to "get away. " But we will give it one more try. I did not checkout the condition of the bathrooms. If you travel with pets, be advised there are many coyotes as would be expected for the territory it’s set in.

Beautiful lake and campgrounds are spacious and you have access to water and electricity at your campsite. Love how there’s clean restrooms with showers. They clean it every morning. Looking forward to another camping trip!

I’m not going to be the first person to mention this but not enough people are.there is no enforcement of quiet hours. No rangers or staff doing rounds. My partner and I came here to be with nature and go hiking and in the lake but couldn’t sleep until 1am both nights because of people playing music with no regard for other campers.the sites themselves are spacious and decent.but dont expect others to be considerate and the campground could use more staff to enforce quiet hours

This was a huge disappointment. I haven't been here in a very long and thought I would try it out again. My son, his wife and my grandkids loaded up the RV and paid to camp out. The campgrounds were absolutely filthy. There was a dirty diaper along with other trash in the showers, trash all over the campgrounds and there were even female products in the lake itself. The music from neighboring campers was so loud no one in our RV could sleep and it lasted until 5: 30 in the morning with no one monitoring any of the activity. When we asked the next morning what we could do about it, we were told to dial 911. Mind you, there is little to no cell reception there making calling 911 nearly impossible. When we set up our spot down by the water the next day, the beach was littered with trash and once again we were blasted out by music from people that were about 20 yards from us. The beach was completely packed and we could not even talk to the person standing right next to us. My family wanted to pack up and leave and sadly, we did. Needless to say I will not be staying or visiting Lake Perris Campgrounds any time soon.

The experience is great very good and I recommend visiting and staying a few days. There is one problem though there are a whole lot of ants everywhere. They really need to do something about it. Ants will be over the table and your stuff. You are doomed if you have phobia of bugs. If it doesn't bother you visit and leave a review I guess.

The location and the lake make for a perfect one-night church camp, however the lack of enforcement of quiet hours (partying til 3am) pretty much sealed our decision to not visit this location again for our church camp. It was simply too difficult for families with young children. Too bad though because everything else about this place is terrific.

For the price it was nice, but with cheaper price it attracts a certain type of crowd. Staff were friendly.

RV site does not have FULL HOOK UPS. There is no sewage, but there are dump stations. Parking is very tight if they were busier.

My rating here is so confused! On the one hand. I LOVE THIS PLACE! The scenery, the wildlife, the gorgeous lake and wonderful fishing and camping sites, makes it a total No-brainer, for most experienced campers.
Besides being a State Parks camp, this is an ideal location for fishing and hunting the local game, or just hiking and taking photos of the changing flora.
On the other hand.this is a very large and very busy Campground!
They need more Rangers and they really NEED to enforce their rules, especially the quiet time! I get that people are here to have a good time, and I'm okay with their loud music during the day. But after 11pm, everyone should have to keep their noise within their own camp! I shouldn't be listening to competing groups of campers trying to overplay each others music at 1am in the morning! And I'm not exaggerating at all. One night it was after 2am before it quieted down. During the week it's not so bad, but even then it's not quiet at 10: 00, when quiet time is supposed to start. What about the families with little kids that don't want to sleep, when they can hear everyone up all night having fun! What about the older folks who have trouble sleeping anyways! They finally get to sleep, and are woke up a half hour later by uproarious laughter and music turned up way too high to even sound good!

The place is filthy, and to make matters worse, it was very noisy, people drinking, screaming and with loud music, nobody came to reinforc the quiet time. Right now is past midnight, My family couldn't sleep?

I took away 1 star for the trash left in some areas (campers and staff needs to clean up alittle better) I actually gathered the remaining trash from my area before leaving to help out, and absolutely no shade.

Camped two nights. The lake is super clean and relaxing.you can see your feet even 5 feet deep! You must drive to beach area about 2 mins if you bring stuff. No way can you walk unless you bring nothing then its like a 10min walk at least. If on floaty must have life jacket and they enforce it. No smoking or alcohol is posted at the beach area.however very hard for them to enforce so just be respectful and you'll be fine like I was. (no glass!) Lol. The campsites were clean and had free showers as well which I absolutely loved. The bathrooms were a bit messy but theyre heavily used and nowhere near as dirty as porta potties (they have flush toilets). BuT absolutely no shade which was a bummer. Had we brought more ez ups it would've been fine! Now we know for next time. We will be back in the future (with more shade canopies lol).

Also bring bug spray for your tent area because we did encounter ants. (because I got muffin crumbs in my damn tent while intoxicated lol) Luckily my OFF spray killed them just find. Overall very nice experience.

Beautiful place just 1 1/2 hours away from San Diego! Clean water and security is always patrolling, which is good. Beach area is really nice! Will definitely bring the family back! Loved this place!

Great experience. We were close to the bathroom/shower, trash, water. There was room for several tents. We roasted smores in the fire pit. A short drive down to the lake

Booked a campsite online and felt excited. When I arrived at the campsite, my expectations were let down. I felt like the website was very misleading. An explanation of each campsite would be nice (eg: campsites 100-150 is nearest to the lake). Our campsite was so far from the lake and it was so crowded with people. Very little privacy. Great for big groups of people, but not 2-3 people. Also, it was over 100 degrees in the area. If you don't like the heat, don't camp here. There's no grass. All dirt. But there are trees in a lot of areas. Ended up going to a hotel. Won't choose Lake Perris Campground for camping ever again. Only thing great was the Merina. Staff was friendly too.

Camp grounds are great, restrooms are close and clean (except those near the lake) and honestly this is a great place for first time campers. I would definitely recommend.

I go here for camping and swimming honestly family tradition sort of, the distance from parking to the water has really gotten further amd further. Maybe some foam rubber walk ways to make it easier to walk to the lake and find a spot could even help with wheelchair accessibility a bigger better marina store.

Get there early if you want a choice spot by the lake. Lots of parking and shade. Great for families, big parties, couples or folks that want to enjoy the outdoors

Disappointing to say the least, NO grass in the camping area, just dirt, unlike the pictures online. Campground is a cement parking lot, super crowded on weekends, quiet time is after 10 pm, park rangers DONT enforce it. Loud music 24/7. Dont plan on getting a good nights sleep. No peace & quiet here, definitely a party place. Restrooms were dirty. Lake is pretty, grass by the beach area was the only plus.

We had a great time as a family.but this place is FILTHY. Trash EVERYWHERE. I literally don't think I've been camping in a dirtier location. Trash floating in the water, glass all over the beach, we used the bathroom on the island and it was the most disgusting public restroom we had ever seen. If they would clean this place up it would be an awesome location. The hiking is great. Pretty views etc.
