Latitude Apartments at Mission Valley, San Diego CA

I didn’t rent from this community but I wanted to say thank you to the Ivory, the lease specialist. She was very professional and helpful. She gave me a tour of the property, shared all the important information, and followed up with me to know whether I’m interested or not. Great service Ivory and keep it up.

Carla the manager and the Monday morning phone operator of this building was unhelpful when I was trying to flag an animal that was barking for a week and potentially under threat/pain with no owner insight. I am shocked with the communication and lack of care for this community, animals, and building. Overall attitude of the staff was unprofessional. Would think hard before living here. If issues arise nothing maybe done to remediate the problem. Yikes!

All of the neighbors are very friendly and welcoming. It isn’t one of those complexes where nobody speaks to anyone. You’ll see kids playing outside, people enjoying the pool, and one lady in particular next to the leasing office with an amazing patio garden. Any issues have been addressed quickly and there are still positive changes in the works for the complex. Ivory is the sweetest and Jose is outstanding. They both go out of their way to make sure residents are taken care of. Welcome home!

I had a awesome time living at Latitude Apartments on Zion Ave. The property has everything! Pool, jacuzzi, and a big laundry room! Jose and Ivory are always welcoming and helpful! If I needed something it was immediately addressed and handled. Thank you for everything!

Really nice good touch to the inside of the apartments and Ivory was an amazing help and made it convenient for us to move in on time and understood where it was confusing extremely beautiful place

Its been only a year since the new management took over and already raised the rent %10 twice (1st time the minute they took over 2nd jsut now). Also, they keep changing the parking assignment the most recent one 2 weeks ago when they made the spots so small that isn't convenient and in fact not easy to park at all, this can easily cause damage to neighbors cars because how close the cars are to each other. They are so greedy, they just wanted to profit from renting extra spots for $100.
Please dont waste your money here.
The new management's goal is to do what it takes to get rid of old tenants, so they can bring in new tenants to charge them what they call "market price", every single question we asked them so far they gave us a wrong and misleading answer. If you are planning to move to this area this isn't the right option first its very old built in 1970's 2nd nothing is included with the very high rent nothing not even trash (you pay water, gas, trash, sewer, insurance) they are so many other newly built communities with some utilities included that deserve what u pay for.

Since the new management took over there was a lot of repairs to be done, because the old management did not do anything. I see the maintenance department doing a lot of work and things are looking a lot better. Thankyou

New management has turned this place around, and I’m glad to call it home. My top amenity is the pool. Make sure you talk to Ivory, she’s very knowledgeable and helpful with everything!

I am staying this beautiful apartment complex since the new management take this property. They completely change the whole apartment complex area, everything looks new. Modernize pool area with jacuzzi, secure parking lots, enough space for kids can play there, a pet friendly neighborhood.
My toddler love this palace, he can play outside and can do biking. Even my friends comes up to do party in the pool area sometimes.
The authorities are nicely and friendly, they solve everything as soon as possible, specially Ivory & Jose.
We are happy to called this place home.

I tried not to complain about this new company, HOWEVER;

When the new management took over, understandably new changes came in place. Immediately they raised the rents and keep increasing every year around 10%, which brings the question to mind that they want old residents move out. They were supposed to be given key to the pool and hot tub area, however it’s been months since they installed the locks. I do not blame people who jumps over the fence and use it. Every week, water shut off in many building.

When you place a request to fix the kitchen counter top paint which is obviously too old, the response is they cannot fix. It is not our issue that you took over a broken place and trying to keep painting outside and put furnitures which we are not even allowed to eat on them according to 167362 notes we receive both as an email and a sticky note on our doors.

They have changed the parking lot assignments how many times I cannot count right now. Clearly your safety is nothing to their concern when you mention the all homeless people who literally walk in our PARKING LOT EVERYDAY AND NIGHT AND DIG INTO TRASH BINS AND THROW STUFF TO YOUR CAR, again is not their concern as the manager clearly stated by saying this exact sentence. Then, why do we even have covered parking spot? Even though there are empty spaces which they can switch you to, they are not cooperating because they cannot rent the parking spots that are close to trash bin and make profit out of it.

Overall, for the new renters, please read this note and think about it again. If a management is not taking care out of their 4 year old tenants, imagine yourself in 4 years.

(New market places they refer to should be for those apartments with washer and dryer in them, make sure to check around the area. There are apartment for the same price with more amenities)
