This is a beautifully preserved building with a fantastic history. A must see and free at this time. Thank you to all who volunteer and share their love of history with others.

I loved this place. They explain the history very well.
I hope they can do Spanish tours, due to Sacrento and California in general high Spanish Speaker population.

The mansion offers excellent free tours of the house.
- You'll get to see what the house looked like over the years. The house and most of the levels showcases beautifully well preserved architecture and furnishings. Other levels show off what the house looked like when it was remodeled to become an orphanage.
-The tour guides are friendly, interesting, and can answer pretty much any questions you can think of. Definitely pay this land mark a visit!

We love going to echo park because there is a variety of things to see and eat. Our kids love going as well. We like to walk around the park and get on the swans. You can spend a great day at the park with friends and family.

The visitors centre has some interesting informations. The conservation is good. The building from outside is already impressing. Tours every hour if you want to go inside.

Okay, if you like historical tours this place is cool. Also probably haunted. But if you want to have the best possible time, Kent is the man you want leading your tour! He is amazing. Chock full of information and clearly LOVES what he does which really adds infinitely to the experience!

Very interesting tour allowing you to experience the lives of the Stanford's. The tour guides did a great job taking you back in time. And ghost hunters, you might find this home very interesting! I'm just saying

This is managed by the California state parks but it’s completely free. Tours start every hour and you have to stay with your group throughout the tour. It’s a lovely piece of Sacramento history.

No Photography Allowed in the house, so leave your cameras at home. The place is okay if you just want a brief encounter with freemasonry, but all and all its a mansion built by the Californian elites of the late 1800s. It's the kind of place you go to once, and that's bout it. It's nicer to walk around the garden and leave.

Went with group of art students from Sacramento State University. The tour was very educational. Many of the modern art pieces display political and historical references to current events. Beautiful art work.

We had a wonderful time. Rourke was helpful explaining the outside who knows his stuff!

Bonnie gave us an amazing tour. She is so enthusiastic and knowledgable,
it was a delight to learn about the Stanford family from her, and her knowledge of the mansion was amazing! A+ tour!

Beautiful building the tour is free and very worthwhile. The tour covered art architecture and history. You're told no photographs are allowed on the tour. Our tour was led by very knowledgeable volunteer.

Parking is not great in downtown Sacramento you may have to walk aways to get to the museum this may be a problem depending on your Mobility.

It was 19,000 square feet with 44 rooms? ! Although you don't get to tour all of them you tour a lot. This is free and you really learn a lot about that time period and beyond.

“Surprising find - well worth a visit”
We stopped by on a Sunday morning thinking this would be a "filler" of something to do before we headed home and were startled with the interesting and informative tour conducted by a young man. The restored mansion and lifestyle of the Stanford's was quite interesting as the guide pointed out not only the features in the mansion but the

Amazing mansion, gorgeous interior. Free tour by an extremely friendly tour guide! Only downside, no photos while on the tour- which is understandable.
