BUYER BEWARE I bought a 2013 Lexus hybrid and hit 107,000 miles when the hybrid battery went bad.
When purchasing used sales people told me these batteries should go to 300,000 miles no problem and are warranted to 100,000 miles.

$5500 to replace at Lexis I called Lexus for assistance spoke to Cyndi Wakita
Case Manager was turned away after almost a week of waiting on pins and needles with no help whatsoever.

I leased a 2018 NX 300 in April 2018 from South County Lexus and by September 2018 started having issues with rattling and a malfunctioning A/V unit.  Bluetooth metadata is not displayed, calls will not disconnect, voice command does not respond, contact's names and phone numbers were being mixed up or (unknown), navigation was not working and sometimes the car would call my own phone when trying to call others.

I brought the car in to South County Lexus and they said they couldn't find anything wrong with my car.

Next I had to bring the car back to meet with the technology advisor and no success there.  Last we spoke he said Lexus was stumped and it's been 5 days and he hasn't returned my call.  Tried to get him on the phone again and the front desk staff didn't seem to know how to properly transfer me to him, couldn't understand who I was asking for, or argued with me about voicemail options and sounded like they were eating or chewing gum.  So I went in to speak to a manager and was basically told to hunt one down on the other side of the building because this was sales and I had a service issue.  I DON'T WORK AT LEXUS and this is a customer service issue so no I won't do that and told the receptionist to just get me a manager, meanwhile three other salesmen who were sitting around the front desk just got up and casually sauntered away with no concern to a visibly upset customer or desire to help the situation.

Finally spoke with a "manager" who spent more time arguing with me that his receptionist is only 22 years old and I am expecting too much from my experience, instead of dealing with the issue that I was sold a damaged bill of goods and no one is taking accountability for this issue.  Fed up with being "schooled" instead of listened to by this guy I got up to leave and said I would take my business to another dealership and his response was to follow me out of the building repeatedly yelling thank you behind my back.

I was leased a car with a faulty A/V unit, had damage done to my car by Lexus staff, was told I was going to have to make certain repairs myself, was told on multiple occasions I was wrong or something was my fault with the car and heckled out of the dealership.  Instead of South County Lexus taking accountability, they maintain a mom and pop shop approach to their business that is lazy, defensive and completely unprofessional and clear that South County Lexus does NOT value maintaining the standard that is the Lexus brand.

Update: Took my car to Newport Lexus for my 10,000 mile maintenance and tried to get them to inspect my malfunctioning A/V unit and was told that they couldn't do anything because there was an open work order on my vehicle at South County Lexus.  I contacted Lexus corporate and they confirmed that all work or repair orders at South County Lexus were closed and they said that the dealerships are independently owned and they can't tell a dealership what to do and that South County Lexus had told Newport Lexus to not inspect my vehicle and corporate stands behind that decision.

South County Lexus also said that they showed me another NX300 to show me that my car was operating as it should; which is a complete fabrication! I then received an email from Peter Perez at Newport Lexus stating that he has been instructed to "not" move forward with my concerns.

There is obviously something going on at Lexus and with their dealerships that is unethical and warrants further assistance in regards to consumer protection.  I am now forced to refer this matter to council and file a claim with the Investigation Unit of the DMV.
