Lhasa Karnak Herb Company, Berkeley CA

I really wanted to make this my go to herb store. Tried it a few times, and each time was met with hasty frustration from the associate helping me. Energy was anxious and resentful, my thoughts are maybe bad management? I've worked in customer service, so I'm very mindful of other service workers. Considering an herb store is a place I'd like to go for healing products, this just won't do. Maybe I've been unlucky and just catching people on bad days.

Terrible customer service and experience. I was excited to find a herb shop near me after moving to Berkeley until I walk through the door and all that changed. As I walked in, I couldn’t help but notice this dark energy. I still smiled and spoke to the individuals behind the counter. Nether one spoke back. Both just stared at me like I didn’t belong in there. As I asked for the herbs I needed from behind the counter, I turned and noticed the guy still staring at me with a unpleasant look on his face. As I proceeded to pay, the woman asked me “ Do you even know what these are used for? ” I said, YEA! PAID AND WALKED OUT! I will never step foot in that positive energy draining place again.

This is the place to go to when you need to stock up on all the herbs and essential oils you need. The staff is very helpful, very friendly, and knowledgeable.

It's a nice little space, beautifully organized and with lots to offer. All their herbs are organic or wildcrafted so you don't have to worry about chemicals, no matter what you select. They have a wide array of single herbs and teas of the camellia sinensis variety, but also have quite a few house blended teas for various purposes. The staff here are also friendly and helpful, and definitely know their stuff. All in all, it's my favorite herb shop by far!

This is where I go for all my herbs. Super organized and convenient to find what I'm looking for online and just pick up when it's ready.

I’ve been one your devoted customer of your herbs and spices for many years. Recently i bought some black tea from you, and the three different teas I bought (assam, darjeeling, and even the earl gray), they all taste and smell the same, and it is the smell of your store as one walks in, which is a melange of all herbs and spices that you keep. I learned my lesson, but since i care I thought maybe it would be good to let you know.

Love this place... They always have exactly what I need and you can order on line and have it mailed or pick it up in the store with excellent service available either way you choose. Clerks are always cheerful, informative and pleasant.

I had come a long way and was excited to purchase my herbs. However, the sales associate was extremely rude to the point that I wanted to cry. She told me that if I was going to purchase so little I shouldn’t have bothered coming in. I spent almost $20. The herbs seem fine but I will not be going back if I am going to be treated that way.

I think this is a beautiful place. The selection of herbs & products are great. However, you feel a bit rushed since there's a limited number of people allowed in the store. I recommend going in the morning so you can at least read the products or feel like you can ask a question. Also, it doesn't feel good to be assisted by a staff thats trying to get off in 5min.

I began shopping at Llasa Karnak when it first opened on Telegraph Avenue just South of Dwight Way. I have known the founders and current owner of the company for all these years. I trust in the quality of their products and expertise of the staff. They have always given the best service and advice one can always count on.
