Chinese Mai Tai is probably their signature cocktail which I recommend, it's $12 but with the amount of alcohol it comes it's worth it. Also the Sex on the beach for only $9 I really can't complain about prices nor about the taste very nice place and friendly staff

Low-key exotic Chinatown bar. The specialty Chinese Mai Tai is worth trying. Rest of the menu is limited to classics

The staff was nice and found a table for us right away. The mai tais were interesting. They’re pretty good but I don’t think it’s better than a regular mai tai. The place itself is small and can get a bit crowded and it’s definitely not the cleanest bar.

If you are in the mood of having Chinese Mai Tai while listening to Deep Purple, this is definitely the place to be. You can also have Ukraine Mule or Bai Jiu+AnyBeer (?) or whatever… worth a visit, great dive bar!

Iconic sign, iconic drink, dive bar meets China. Small, can get crazy crowded, and definitely not a place with an extensive menu but if you know what you're getting into then it's excellent for a stop in and a quick drink. If you are not familiar with bai jiu, you will be after the Chinese mai thai!

The diviest dive I’ve seen in a while. Sticky floors make it authentic. Mai Tais seem like a clear winner here.

This place is awesome don’t listen to the bad reviews, they are just wrong. Connie let us try the Chinese whiskey that really sets the mai tai apart from the rest. It was like a potent herbal tincture that had a pretty profound effect. I’ll be coming back

This place is for clueless tourists only. Walk in and expect the heavy sell for their “Famous Mai Tai” - an $11 rip-off made from gut rot gin that comes from a keg!

Everyone there always takes care of us. We make a point of visiting every time we're in town. They always give great food recommendations as well!

Cool sign - and in Chinatown! Two stars. This joint is not, however, a cocktail lounge of any kind I’ve ever liked. I ordered a straight Mai Tai after waiting at the bar 10 minutes - dude says - “only one kind of Mai Tai here - Chinese Mai Tai”.

Ok - I tried it. Mistake. I love Mai Tais. I make them at home. This abomination is terrible.

This bar sells beers and shots to tourists and the newly arrived who think they’re slumming it in an “authentic” Chinese dive bar. Screw that. I live here. I’m not here to impress my entitled friends.

Spare me the BS. If this is a cocktail lounge, then make me a goddam Mai Tai! If I wanted a college bar for beers and shots, I’d go back to friggin’ college!

This place sucks. Cool sign, funky vibe, 2 stars ONLY.

Sooo many great times at Li Po, decade after decade. This place is a classic gem. Be kind to your bartenders, and definitely get one-too-many mai tais.

Not at all what i expected but amazing vibes! Downstairs played top tier hip hop music and felt like a college dorm party with how the bar was setup to the various couches.chinese mai tais are a must try! At only $11, they’ll make you feel buzzed

Mostly went because of one of Anthony Bourdain's episode on SF. It was a good experience to try. Their signature Mai Tai was too sweet for me, I recommend it if you have a sweet tooth.

One of the best places in the WORLD to get a "mai tai", they actually have a trademark on a drink called "Chinese Mai Tai".
Do be aware of the female bartender, she is an upseller star and you will find your bill quickly escalates.along with your alcohol content!
