Liholiho Yacht Club, San Francisco CA

I was running late from the Emergency Department where I work, and reached out ahead of the reservation time to let them know and ask if there was a later reservation possible. They said no, and charged me a $50 cancellation fee, without even offering me any chance to reschedule for that day or another day. Wow. SAD customer service for a place that supposedly values people, and certainly doesn't respect health care workers.

Went there last week with a few friends. The staff is friendly, helpful and attentive and seem to work as a team. This place stays busy for sure.

The Tuna Poke tasted nice but serving size could have been a little larger. Poppyseed Steam Bun was pretty good but poppyseeds took over the flavor (a little less poppyseeds) and masked the taste of this appetizer. Spam Steak was ok (I like Spam) but needed possibly a heavier Teriyaki Flavor since that is what they were going for I think.

The real hits of the evening were Crispy Petrale Sole (Really Good), 5 Dot Cross Cut Short Ribs, Pork Belly and Hurricane Rice. Ended with Strawberry Sorbet, Toasted Meringue desert.

Excellent small plates menu with many rum drinks. Asian/Pacific/Tropical flavors predominate on the food menu. Ordering is oddly through the Toast App, but the food arrives quickly. The space is airy and open, and the only mark against it really is that it is a tad expensive.

Can’t wait until we come here again. Service was fabulous - the waiters were all very attentive. I don’t think my glass of water ever for half empty!
The food was so unique and creative. I don’t think I’ve had anything like this anywhere. Each dish was so thoughtful, beautifully presented, and the perfect combination of complementary flavors. We can’t wait to come back.

This place doesn’t live up to the hype and our visit was disappointing on many levels. To be fair, their Hodo Soy Yuba Salad was excellent on every level. Everything else we ordered, however, was mediocre at best, mostly bland and the “whole fish” was fried to (fry-) bits. The pricing seems exuberant and somewhat disproportional to how casual the place wants to appear. The staff was friendly at first, a bit disorganized throughout but one waitress became downright rude when sent the fish back. Just an awful experience overall…

Came with some colleagues, one of whom loves this place. I think we managed to order most of the menu and everything was great. Sashimi was a particular standout as was desert. Highly recommend, fantastic drinks, food, and service.

A wonderful dining experience. Consider the rooftop patio option. Even on a cool night, the heat lamps above each table made for perfect outside dining. Food was excellent. Service with attention to detail. Highly recommend.

Absolutely excellent experience as always. All contactless menu and payment. Each outdoor seating area has a very warm heater. The food is always out of this world! The cocktails and drinks are amazing. And we even got extra desserts that were kindly added to our order! Everything that we had was perfect. I’ll continue to come back here and recommend it to friends!

If you are looking for pretentious food and supercilious service, this is for you. To dine here, you need a love of overly fried food, meats that are cooked beyond recognition, heavy spices that hide natural flavors, and a true lack of fresh options. Oh, and good luck with parking.

Spam steak should be replaced with mini spam musubi of something equivalent. Otherwise, super excellent. Go with a group so you can try everything.

Great setting and vibe, especially loved the rooftop, and service was wonderful. Food came out super quick but nothing to rave about. Highlight was the early girl tomato salad, loved the textures (especially the added crunch from the crispy beans), was super light and refreshing.

I visited the resturant with my friend on Wed night. We tried to book a table a week in advance and it was impossible. We arrived at the resturant at 5PM and they already had a small line of people. If you get there at the opening at 5PM they will sit you. Its hack with this place:)

The food that we have tried is all amazing. We have really enjoyed it. I would really suggest taking their fried fish, its really amazing and local. Poke was really nice and fresh I would highly recommend it.

Drinks are not bad. I was hoping for more choices for wine. They only have like 8 choices of wine and that includes whites and reds.

Tried their twist on old-fashioned and I was not a fan.

Overall really good place that I would really recommend.

First time here, wasn't sure what to expect. The food was really good. My hubby had the Korean short ribs and I had the tuna poké and a pork bun. We shared some hurricane rice. The dessert was really really good.

Most people don't understand why Liholiho restaurant is so amazing. We had the great fortune of being graced with tender Korean short ribs, flavourful cabbage, and corn fit for a king. The dinner initially presented more questions than answers. Was disappointed that there was no water or yachts, but they somehow found some fish to fry, which disrupted the flow of the night. We thought we were on still water because the stuffed wings were arrrriiight, but this belied the unchartered waters of a rather baked Hawaii. Our friend dirty Dennis felt nautical and porked tf out. To cope, we ended up chasing the mocktails with some water found in the wata closet. Turns out, if you're allergic to bad food, you'll have no reactions here.

If you want to pay 10$ for a dry old pork puff without taste, and spend your money for fancy not tasty food, this is the place.
Still, the music and cocktails are good.

Our check in was a little weird as we didn’t realize that we needed to specify rooftop dining. They did however kindly accommodate. Cute vibes. Great service. It’s upscale islander foods. 4 stars not 5 because I don’t know that the food was totally worth the price. Portions are quite small.

I truly partook in the fish jab. It was great and new. The curry shellfishes and naan were truly flavorful. My companion requested the scallop dish and it was so acceptable. Likewise, the heated Hawaii was astounding. Truly partook in the experience, heavenly food! Comfortable things with an interesting, powerful bend and flavor. Totally adored the barbecued short rib, which I generally don't normally like all things considered spots (another person had requested it and I was desirous). Everything was truly extraordinary. Energetically suggest the mixed drinks!
