Little Fishermen's Fish & Chips, Cypress CA

The fried halibut and chips were excellent. The batter on the fish was crispy and not greasy. The potato wedges were cooked perfectly. However, I would have given a higher rating if the restaurant had been a little more clean. The restrooms needed attention and tables were not wiped between customers. There was also an employee standing near the cooking area eating something, which just looked really wrong. I would have preferred to see the employee sitting at a table eating, if they were on break. An employee did clean the plastic baskets used under the food but the cleaning method seemed to be very haphazard. It makes you wonder how clean the rest of the kitchen actually is.

I’m when I walked in I was expecting to have a Normal lunch. I decided to try to eat healthy and ordered the mahi-mahi bowl. The fish, broccoli and rice were very good. Carrots, not as good. This is a great place for a quick lunch.

We have eaten here several times and always loved it, everything was cooked well with good seasonings. I don't eat fish & chips very often but I was very impressed. We went last night and both my husband and I got fish and chips. There was no flavor on the fish or chips and we were very disappointed. My husband isn't sure we'll go back. Did you change the seasonings or something?

They have the best Fish that I have eaten. They have wonderful and fast service. There restaurant is vey clean inside and they had a wonderful cleaning lady that did all the cleaning outside of all the restaurants, she did excellent cleaning its a shame that she hurt her back and could not walk anymore. Hope your doing well.

I always order the restaurant's specialty. Here at Little Fishermen's.of course the fish and chips. And here they offer several fish & chip (fish) options and serve it crispy but not burned, hot and not soaked in oil. The fish clearly maintained its character and wonderful taste.
This was the first time I've eaten fried food without the oil staying in my mouth for the rest of the day. Wonderful

The food is good but the person cooking used her dirty gloves to touch everything including the food. So, unsanitary.

I would have given five stars but I specifically asked if the fish and chips came with tartar sauce, was told yes, then didn't receive any in my to go order. ️

I really enjoy the salmon fish and chips combo I think it’s the best I’ve ever had. They do a great job of serving people and also give a veterans discount

I ordered the fried fish tacos. They tasted fresh. Two big pieces of fish, the tortilla tasted homemade, not too much cabbage or white sauce. Its always a pleasure to eat here!

I’m not a big fish eater, but I like fish and chips and this place has the best. I’ve tried three other restaurants and this place beats them all.

The food was great. Friendly atmosphere. Yet, they are indifferent to their customers. We gave an eight dollar tip, up front. They then gave us cups to fill our own sodas. They never came back to serve us in any way. Worse they never thanked us for coming. Furthermore, the guy we tipped snickered when he received it. If you go, do NOT tip them! Enjoy the food, but do NOT tip them! You mean nothing to them.

They really know how to make good food! Whether you just want a snack or a full meal, they have items that would fit any appetite. I was looking for something not too heavy so I ordered the sliders. I loved them! I have bookmarked this restaurant to remind me to return to it again and again!

I have been twice, food is good, but to get there at 7: 20pm & they close at 7: 30pm and be told you can take to go or eat outside just doesn't make sense when people 5 minutes early get to eat inside.

The fish (halibut) was good. Honestly, they'd have gotten 5 stars, as much as I love good fish. They lost one for the "chips" which were wedges instead of steak or crinkle cut fries, which is what I grew up on. They lost the other star for being a bit pricey. I get that California is expensive, but to shoot a $20 in the face, I would expect 3, not 2 pieces of fish and a much bigger drink.

Would I go there again? Maybe, if I hit the lottery and didn't care about bang for the buck.

Been craving fish and chips and very satisfied at this place, service is excellent, nice staff and food is very good. They have early bird deal and special taco too.

Online ordering was not working. Phone was busy! Had to go in to order and wait. Only about 10 min. Food was amazing

Great fish and chips! Wife caught an add for this place and it looked good. This was our first real dining experience without a mask since covid prompted our illustrious governor to close the state down.

We both had the cod fish and chips. The fish itself was fantastic, cooked to perfection, nice and crispy without being overly greasy. The fries were a nice surprise being of the seasoned variety.

Portion size I would call generous. We ordered a 2 and a 3 piece, split the 3rd piece to end up with two, 2 1/2 pieces. It was plenty for a lunch size meal. The coleslaw was not overly mayonnaise heavy, the way my wife prefers it.

Overall I enjoyed the food quite a bit, as did my wife. I'm sure we will return in the not too distant future. Highly recommended.

$17+ for 2 piece halibut fish and chips. Fish was so dry it almost had a powdery texture. The coleslaw was dry. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was for the staff. Oh, and I commented on the FB ad that came up and they deleted it.
Sorely disappointed and I won't be returning.

First time here. I don't do a lot of fish.this place was great! I had the halibut fish and chips. I will recommend it to my friends and family.
