Little Frenchie, Coronado CA

Updated review: We had a great experience first time dining at Little Frenchie 2 years ago. But we didn’t really enjoy the food this time. The portion is so small comparing to the price. We ordered a OEUFS MIMOSA, from the description, I thought there will be a full plates with smoke salmon with crème, deviled egg and salad. But surprisingly there were just 3 deviled eggs and little salad on the plate, can’t believe it’s $23 for 3 deviled eggs… The buckwheat crepe tastes fine but there was really little salmon inside the crepe, I don’t think it’s worthy of the price at all. We feel disappointed.

Amazing experience. The atmosphere was amazing and it felt like a perfect field of flowers. They gave us amazing waters that put out our delicious food very quickly.

We walked in and were fortunate to get a table inside right away, while places nearby had long waits. The staff was attentive, hard-working and friendly. The food was terrific. Had the baguette (which could have been warmer). My husband and I shared the beet salad, which was fresh and delicious. I had the cassoulet, which was a generous portion, with an outstanding sausage and crisp duck confit. My husband enjoyed the light Parisian gnocchi. Great find!

Our second time for lunch & dinner. We loved it. The food is authentic French Cusine. Very Parisian. The manager, Matt was courteous & good host. Kimberly attended our table twice. She is serviable and attentive.she is great in recommending dishes.

The food was bland at best. We had tummy issues the next day as well. There are other French restaurants in SD that are much better.

If your a minority you definitely won't get treated with the same attention as the customers. I wouldn't consider this place family friendly for kids.

High quality food and nice atmosphere.
Had the duck confit and their Christmas set menu. The beef cheek, duck confit, mushroom soup are very delicious

If you love squash you have to go there! They serve the best squash soup, it’s delicious!

Food was excellent, but the wait to get into this little French bistro is long. Expect to wait 30 - 45 minutes for a party of 6 adults & 3 kids. I saw the hostess turn away families with stroller after stroller …she says there is no room for a stroller. Just like restaurants in France, NOT particularly kid-friendly. Nice waitress though!

The cheese pull on the onion soup is reason enough to visit here. Staff was adorable and wholesome. Vibes on point.

We absolutely loved our dinner at Frenchie. Every dish we had was fresh and very flavorful. Portion sizes are good. My favorite dish was Duck Cassoluet!

Favorite place in nado. Pastries are second to none. Brunch portions (including salads) are very shareable. Don't forget the Bellini or mimosa!

Salad Nicoise lettuce was bruised and just “tired”. Server was quite salty and brisk, I did not feel welcome. I was pretty much ignored by her. Waited 10+ minutes for my check. I would have asked for a bit of bread but I never saw my server to ask. Tables were not full, I won’t be back.

Hotel del Coronado and restaurant challenge to Paris sensibility with friends. The service was good and the food was great. The onion soup wasn't salty and it was really delicious. I strongly recommend it. And I really liked the potatoes under the braised short ribs. The snail dish was also better than what I had in Paris. I want to tear the baguette with my hands and keep eating it. As expected, it's like Michelin's restaurant. It was a delicious brunch.

I’m sure the food is delicious and the service is wonderful here but didn’t have the opportunity to try it. The only reason I’m giving them a lower rating is because there was no notice of any closures for maintenance on their website Google listing or even on the physical door. We were able to make reservations and should have been contacted or alerted. It wasn’t until I called that I found out. There was even someone standing at the door that didn’t have the courtesy to crack the door open to let us know of the delayed opening. Even if it was unexpected a simple note on the door would have been appreciated.

This place looked promising. We came here on a Saturday for brunch and it was about 80% full Sadly we sat for 15 minutes without anyone offering us coffee or to take our order. Seemed like they had lots of staff. A bit puzzling.
Service was friendly but for waiting and a few other non customer focused things (ie we had to flag people down to order and get more coffee. We rate this 3/5.

Food was beautifully presented and tasty.

Omelettes were fluffy and tasty. Salmon was as fresh.

Coffee was perfect.

Atmosphere was lovely outside. We sat inside off to the side. So that was ok. Though we were told to move our chair even though there was plenty of space.

Worth the price. Food and service were excellent. The scallops were among the best we've ever had. The gnocchi was slightly less flavorful than we would have hoped. Onion soup was delightful and dessert even better!

Their cheese danish is spectacular but their service is terrible and the entrees have no flavor or seasoning.

Got food poisoning here, avoid at all costs. Service and food was pretty mid for the prices here. But the highest price we paid was the havoc wreaked on our digestive systems after our meal. It's been days and we have not fully recovered.
