Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot Mt View reviews
26Great hot pot, with friendly staff who remember us (and our drink orders!) every time. I forgot my card inside once and they came running after me to return it. Definitely our go to dinner place in mv!
This place is really good but also very expensive. The best of both worlds broth was so good half spicy half regular. You pick your meats and veggies and cook them in your broth right at your table.
We ordered way too much food. Broth is delicious, service was great, ingredients were quality. Enoki mushrooms and frozen tofu were delicious.
'Twas my first hot pot experience and it was delicious! Food first: there was a spicy vegetarian broth option which I had in my half of the pot. I like a good medium spice and this clears out the sinuses but is definitely not so hot you can't enjoy it.there are cloves, white and red peppercorns and some other spices in the very flavorful broth which will make your lips numb if you chew on them. Fun! Get a side of rice or a dairy beverage if you want to cool your mouth between bites. I highly recommend the tofu sheets, mushroom platter, and the sesame and garlic sauces really made it delicious! Atmosphere: fun and chatty without being too loud, and classy, if a tiny bit worn booths and decor. Service: absolutely top-notch we felt attended to without being annoyed and servers came by at appropriate junctures to offer us additional items or take away empty trays. I LOVED it!
I'm a vegetarian who orders spicy soup with water as the base. I'm addicted. I've been going here almost once a week for a few yrs now. Best hot pot I've ever had!
Was my first time here and I really enjoyed it. Excellent experience, beside that view of the street. They are so kind, y hablan español. Super pendientes de que estuviésemos disfrutando su comida
This is a chain restaurant that I visited at least once a week when I went to Beijing, China. The unique flavor is milder than China, but it is also delicious. It is recommended to eat shrimp balls and fish cake with Roe. Please enjoy our original milky broth.
Food was ok. Although I must say the service was not all that great! They never came around to refill my water nor my sister. When we asked it took them awhile and on top of that they only refilled my water. We tired to get their attention but seem like we were just being avoided. I had to use my own water bottle and refill my sisters water. There were only two waitress and this place gets pack during lunch. They should have more waitress if they can't multi task. First and last time here!
We asked the waiter for suggestions for portions for 2, and he suggested so much food that even though we ate past our limit, we still ended with plates that we hadn't even touched. The bill was over $80 for the 2 of us and the amount of food he suggested was way more than normal people can eat. Don't appreciate the dishonesty with the suggestions.
Food is okay. Sauces are extra, with each type adding an extra charge.
Really enjoyed going there every time. Nice location, food is fresh, manager is a very friendly guy.
Such a retard. They said to wait for thirty minutes but when we come back after forty minutes, they asked us to wait another thirty.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Their broth is killer and the meat I'd very good. Seafood platter is quite tasty as well. Parking is not great for this area so plan accordingly.
First time here and we all liked it. We got the chicken, garlic beef, potato, pumpkin, cabbage, fried tofu sheets, and oyster (I think) mushrooms. Plenty of food for two adults and two kids. Our server was super helpful in recommending how much to order and explaining how to cook everything. My 8 year old daughter was very excited to be involved in the cooking process. Everything included we paid about $15 per person which felt very reasonable.
The food was really good but we waited almost 2 hours after being told there was an hour wait for a table. Being busy is a great problem for a business to have, but more accurate wait times would be helpful~
Mongolian hot pot. Super quantities. Super interesting. The fish was the best with the spicy broth.
This is our go-to hot pot spot, also our most frequented spot on Castro st.
We really like their hand sliced beef and pork belly and the sliced lamb shank as our protein selection. We then usually add on a few platters of seafood, veggie, and mushroom. Oh and the bird eggs! So good.
If you’re up for it, try the blood curd and stripes, we like them in the spicy broth.
Quick service, pleasant, well lit, easy parking too.
Will recommend.
I love this place! The ingredients are so delicious, and I especially love their lamb. The broth is really good, though I think the spicy one can be a little overwhelming and oily - also just loads of chilies that are impossible to avoid when trying to fish out your food.
I recently tried their house wontons for the first time and they were really good as well. My usual favorites are the enoki mushrooms, aged lamb and thick noodles.
We always enjoy our hot pot visits here. When we took our parents here, they love the idea and over all experience.
Parking is easy. You can park on the street across or in the nearby multistory public parking.
Arrive early and expect long lines during Fridays and weekends.
Food is fresh, tasty and their service is excellent.
Sunday noon, called multiple times to find out whether there is a line, but nobody picked up the phone. Upon arrival, found out there is 20 mins wait.
Nice Mongolian restaurant with a unique experience. You choose your broth and raw meat/vegetables. Cooking your own meal at your own pace is a very nice experience for groups. It makes most sense if you're at least 4 people but might still be OK for 2 or 3 people. We liked the spicy broth better than the other, but you can pick half and half to be safe.
