Little Town Campground reviews
13I've been coming to this camping spot for 12 plus years but I will sadly not be returning. Grandpa Gene was an awesome gentleman his family as well. But when these new owners came in the vibe of the place changed dramatically. My family and I did not feel very welcomed they were rude. I will definitely not be returning to this place.
This campground sits right by the Yuba river, with inviting waters and dramatic outcroppings of granitic rock. The sites are spacious (which is a refreshing change from the 'campgrounds' that look more like motor home storage lots) and they are well maintained with easy electrical access and water.
I love camping but I enjoy it a lot more if I can take a nice, hot shower and the bathrooms at Little Town are pristine and look to have been completely redone quite recently.
Had a chance to meet the owners; a couple who genuinely care about the beauty and sanctity of the sublime surroundings.
I would return in a heartbeat!
The place went downhill since the new owner, showers cost now. A lot of bees and nats everywhere and the Prices our outrageous at $45 a day
By far the best camping experience my family has ever had. The hosts went above and beyond to show us a great time. They made sure we had enough wood, took all our trash, and best of all, had a movie night for the kids in the campground park. We will definitely be returning.
Our go to campground! We love Little Town and their amazing staff! The bathrooms are pristine, the river is gorgeous and always a fun place to be, and the campers that surround you are always a pleasure to be around. Go to Little Town for an exceptional family camping experience!
I was able to book a reservation for more than 8 people, and even called to confirm it on the day it was made, no one told me nothing then. Called closer to date, and was told I should’ve received a called about the reservation being unable to fit that many people. If I wouldn’t of called nobody woulda told me anything until I got there. Then it would been even more waste of time, but appreciate the refund.
The best part of the campground was the forested feeling. Keep undergrowth that added to the splendor of the campground. There is nothing to help keep the dust down besides water sprinklers (in a drought ridden state). It has been stripped bare. Prices have more the doubled and all the people that had permanent spaces and returned yearly haven't returned. It was an awesome place to visit til the new owners.
I was on the property for a week in September 2021 and my map will prove this. What I stated in my review is what I saw personally. Sorry you don't approve of the review.
Very homey campgrounds, the moss in the water is very slippery but you can avoid it by being careful and bringing floatables. The water is amazing to plunge into at the start of the day to wake you up.
It’s a private property but the owner will welcome you I love this place can’t wait to go back
Been going for 50 years, still love it. New owners are really nice. Need to get some fish back in the river but thats fish and game.
The camp sites are close together and tucked in tightly along a gravel road, but they have shade and are right next to the river! Short walk down to a beach shore and a tall rock to jump off of, or further down there's another swim hole by the bridge. In June the water wasn't too cold to swim in, we all got in once we got used to it and had fun. There are all kinds of cool rocks to climb on along the river and even whirl pools. There is a bar on the other side of the river but you can't get there crossing from the camp site. You have to drive over the bridge. Bathrooms and playground and basketball court great plus they sell ice and drive it round to deliver to sites. Great place to go with a group of friends, since the sites are so close together. Awesome spot
Awesome campground! This gem on the Yuba River is a diamond in the rough. The place has trailer hookups, great tent camping sites, mellow swimming holes, bathrooms with showers, and a park in the middle of camp for the kids to run around. Best of all it's family owned and operated. This place is highly recommended for anyone looking to get away from it all, vacations with the fam, or the weekend warrior looking for adventure. Little Town Campground is THE spot to be.
Absolutely Beautiful, tranquil and peaceful little town to visit, explore and creat wonderful memories!
Clean fresh water flows through the river along side the campground and back into a beautiful picnic area a few miles from the campground.
Enjoy the pristine beauty of The Little Town of Washington in California off of hwy 20!
