LKQ Pick Your Part - Sun Valley reviews
29 I’ve been to several of SoCals pick-a-part yards but never one this bad. It’s clean and laid out about as nice as can be expected.
Website said they had 2 Chevys, 1 Dodge, 1 Jeep, 5 Xterras, and 5 Frontiers. Needed 1-2 pieces for everything. We’ll only 1 Chevy and couldn’t get under the hood because something was sitting on it. Other not where listed or nowhere to be found same with the Jeep. Found 1 Xterra and here others were listed were pathfinders. No Frontier but several really old HardBody trucks.
Seems the website listing is far from accurate. Need to do a far better job with managing inventory. I could have gone to another site with better inventory instead of wasting my Saturday sloughing in the mud and oil here.
If you're looking for parts and are even a tiny bit handy (YouTube is your friend here) check out LKQ auto and make sure to bring the tools you need. They have a vehicle inventory search on their website so you know if they have the cars you're looking for and also have a matching part search that can tell you if they have a different model that has the same parts.
Be sure to look at the availability date on the inventory though, the longer time passes the more likely other people may have taken the parts you need so it really is a guessing game. It can be a fun time though and if they do have the parts they're pretty dang cheap, prices on the website as well.
Entry is 3 dollars for the main yard and an additional 2 dollars to get into primo parts which has slightly newer cars. Some people sell tools on site by the gate and there are tons of shops in the area doing glass, keys, whatever.
Make sure you buy a warranty for every item you purchase in case it is not the right part and you need to return it. And if you live far, make sure you call and make sure you can return an item that day because they have no problem turning you down and making you leave. Don't waste your time all day long trying to get a part for your car, they don't even give you very much of a discount for the item, youre better off having autozone or pepboys ordering the part for you and picking it up from them a day or two later, it's better than having to deal with the rude and inconsiderate BS that this place puts your through. They don't care to help their customers, they treat them just as bad as the broken cars they have parked there.
The worst experience I had in a yunkyard, they charge me for ghost parts I was taking some brakes and they charge me for the hub assembly, charge for brake lines that wasn't there.not coming back or recommend thanks for reading.
Went on a weekend when they advertised 40% off sale - NO sale at all and definitely not 40% off. Part that i needed is $34.99 on Summit, yet this place wanted $19+ for it with 40% sale. Makes no sense and might as well buy new. No deal at all and very over priced.
Been here twice and each time has been different.first time was over veterans weekend where they advertised that veterans get in free.when we get up to the gate the man was extremely rude to my father who was veteran and said "so what i don't care and you have to pay". Granted it was only 3 dollars but the principle of the fact was they advertised it and didn't honor it and on top of being rude to a veteran.
Secondly i went there today because a car came in and i needed the bumper complete with the re-enforcement is advertised for around 60 dollars.when i get up to the gate to pay the man counted each individual part instead and it came out to about 120 dollars. I've heard of this bait and switch tactic but never thought it would happen to me. I drove over an hour to go here and another hour back.
Ill stick to the local Santa Paula pick the part.much more friendly service!
Only reason why this isn't one star is because the first day i went there the lady at the counter was helpful other than that the service here is well to be desired
Horrible service. Huge vehicle selection but most vehicles are picked through. Look elsewhere. If you can find a part you're looking for, prices are severely overpriced and the entrance fees are a bogus money-grabbing scheme. Go to another junkyard or buy online and I can guarantee it would be a better experience and cheaper.
The problem is That You Check the Inventory. Then you Go Spend your time Your Cash on both Entrances to the Junk Yard and They Don't Have the Vehicles that Supposedly They Have on their inventory
Nel no.workers wouldn't tell yo if they have the car you are looking for it. So far for me is a nooono good!
Really unfriendly personal, not help of all, poor custumer service
I was there try to save money but at final pay more like I would get it, on the auto part I lose my time, money and patient.
For people like me that we are not in the field I mean whose aren't mechanic the worst place with the worst people.
I was extremely disappointed this time! I removed a oil pan from a Passat. I took it up to pay for it $45, brand new online $17. LKQ just robbed me. So disappointed!
Great place if you have an older car and need odd items replaced and it's a great we to reuse and recycle as well as help maintain your vehicle in an orginal state.
One of the biggest selection then any other junkyard I know. Cheap and easy. Best of all, you get OEM parts.
All the employees act like there better than anyone else. Rude and unprofessional. Went to go get parts and I got out late at 5: 30. Totally understandable that I needed to leave already. Told an employee if I can come in the morning to pay for the parts that I got out. He tells me "no, " telling me that there gonna go to recycling.
Great place!
Arrive early and bring a hat, long sleeves and water. There is no shade and it tends to be hot. Weekends are extra busy days.
I called and got a price quote. But when i got there and got the part the price was 25 dollars more then the "quote".
It's like my second home to get away from my wifey.when I'm there she don't bug me.lol.lol.lol. Pick n part are a little pricey now since other junk yards close nearby.
The online alerts are great and thr online inventory is easy to use. Found my cars easily based on the inventory description, and the app is easy to use.
Very rude personal the employees dont really know about.parts and want to charge for a tiny piece the price for.the dash.
Compared to other pull a parts this place is a rip off. Charge crazy prices for second hand parts. Also if you’re working at the cashier maybe you should know your parts
