LKQ Pick Your Part - Thousand Palms reviews
18 Don’t waste your time at this yard, over priced and even if you know what you’re going for it will still be more then you think, went for a roof rack and they were charging for every piece even though some of the hardware was broken. Better off getting your parts online brand new then to waste your time picking your part and paying 82% of a brand new parts price.
Don’t recommend and won’t be back, staff is rude if you question the price
I don't know what happened to this company about 5 years ago, but it has gone to an unfriendly level. The rules are getting tougher every day, prices have skyrocketed. Today I bought a few parts from them for my RAM, they asked for the right mirror without warranty $35 and this used with scratches and I dismantled it myself with my tool, HA HA HA, new mirror with free shipping on Ebay $42 with free returns (read how to warranty). Plus they charged an Env fee of $4.74!
A separate theme is checking the bolts and nuts in your toolbox, it looks very humiliating. Such trifles were not perceived 5 years ago and the staff was very friendly and sociable, although the number of employees was an order ten time smaller.
It's ridiculous that you have to tell them that you don't want a warranty that is automatically added to the price of the part as well as having to pay for each item that is attached to the hood of the car including the bolt's that hold that part on and having to pay a core charge on top of that! Rip off!
Yo dude, the workers i spoke with could barley maintain eye contact let alone hold a decent verbal exchange. I asked them multiple questions regarding common information and all they do was bare minimum. Terrible service. Rude manners.
It's OK but a bit over priced for used parts. Also the staff there isn't the friendliest bunch of people.
This place is a joke DO NOT SELL THEM YOUR CAR THEY GIVE YOU FAKE QUOTES THEY TELL YOU ONE THING ON THE PHONE AND WHEN YOU GET THERE THEY CHANGE UP ON YOU
Went for a few wheels and tires they have great deals on great parts if you haven't checked them out I say give it a shot.
What they hide way at the bottom of the website is that they charge what they refer to as "a modest fee" of $3 JUST TO GET IN!
I tried calling to ask if they had my part but you can't get someone on the phone. So I searched for the part on their website and all it showed was a picture of the vehicle. So I drove out there.
After I sign the waiver, I'm told it's $3. I said how do I know the part hasn't already been pulled off. He said you don't. What the?
So these guys don't have an inventory of parts. Just a pic of the vehicle when it was towed in. Don't answer the phone when you call. And want you to pay $3 just to check!
Go to a yard that is more professional and not trying to nickel and dime you. You even have to pay a core charge and extra if you want a warranty.
Don't waste your time or gas money. And the road leading to them will have you needing new suspension by the time you get there.
The guy in the entrance make you feel like you have done something wrong always and always talking to his conworkers
Terrible customer service. Very unorganized no restrooms water fountains. Rude. Use this place as a last resort.
I was just there to find apart for my Nissan 2011, Altima. I need to find a crashed one to get my parts. Still looking. Service wasn't bad
The gal at the register was so great however the guy at security was a complete jerk. After spending $120 on plastic parts. Worse than a TSA employee
This is an inexpensive place to go to get parts, but you have to take them off. They have a fairly organized method of placing the product once you figure it out.
The only draw back is that you have to strip the part of all the hardware, or they will nickel and dime you to death. The hardware is less expensive online for new parts. That being said, they keep a list of their inventory online at lkqpickyourpart.com, and they have set prices that are listed on their site as well, so you don't have to worry if they are giving someone else a better price than you.
They would get a 5 rating if not for the hardware issue, but I do understand they need to make good revenue, because they're a for profit business. Otherwise, there is no sense for them to be in business.
Really awful was shown the wrong directions to go so wasted my time walking around for an hour.
Couldn't find the part.
Even offered staff a gratuity to find the part for me n store it till tomorrow.
They refused
Won't be going there anymore.
And I recommend you save your gas n time and do the same and go else where
What a wonderful experience for a change. Nina was so helpful and my car was removed right away. I received more than I ever thought was available. I wasted time on those ads but none were as helpful or paid as much. Thank You Nina for once true customer service was received.
Thanks BridgetK
The prices are good, and they offer wheel barrows and cherry pickers. The only down side is that the cars are all scramble or placed randomly in brands and models, which means that if you are planning to go, get ready to walk a lot.
There vehicle selection is average but it is the only pick-a-part in the valley. Watch out though, if the staff doesn’t know exactly what kind of part you got they are very likely to overcharge you! So if your total seems kinda high, ask for an itemized breakdown.
Can a Junkyard be a peaceful place? Found what I wanted, website clearly labels inventory and it's self serve, find your row and go to town. Find more than you initially needed.
