L&L Hawaiian Barbecue, San Marcos CA

Always disappoints. Does t compare to the Mira Mesa location in service and quality. I ordered a mini BBQ chicken planner. It's is rubbery tastes boiled and no bbq flavor. The cooks have been chatting non stop.maybe the quality is the way it is bc no one cares here. Next time I will drive to Mira Mesa. Waste of money.

Food was ok, the thing that makes it a 1 star review is the rudeness of the staff, esp the lady up front with the piercing.all me and my partner tried to do was ask how there day was and buy some food but I have never felt so unwelcome in a store and will never be back.

The staff frequently closes early, like 25 minutes before the posted closing time. Lazy vibes, braddah, gotta be here early.

One of the most disappointing meals I’ve eaten. The meat was chewy, food overpriced, and the presentation terrible. I threw half the meat away because the cheap plastic knife provided could not cut it. Go eat anywhere else twice before ever going here.

The food was so good all the way down to the last bite! What makes it even better is that the prices and portions matched perfectly! This was a my first time in San Diego and my first bite to eat. ALL WORTH IT!

Eat China Boys next door. I had a gift certificate for LnL, called in the order, drove 30 min to get there and they didn’t honor it. Charged me for super average food. Mac mayo and over cooked meat. Shoots.

FALSE ADVERTISING ALERT! Their prices on their website don’t match the prices displayed at the store AT ALL! We’re talking a $5 difference on most items. Online price was 11.85, ended up paying over $17 after tax. Not a good deal at all. The store clerk said the prices have been outdated online for 5+ years, which doesn’t really make sense. There’s another L&L in Walmart not too far away… lesson learned.

this is our third time we have tried to order for our staff.sadly third time is not always the charm and this did it for us.all the cheeseburgers came with just cheese, patty and bun.one of the foods also had a piece of hair.

I would definitely recommend to go to the L & L inside the walmart on nordahl if you can make the extra few minute drive there.steer far away from this place if possible.

I Came to this location thinking that they The shrimp curry was a good idea since I’m pescatarian and do not partake in any land animals for religious purposes I am a nurse so I really don’t have much time to be looking and examining my food sadly you would think that the shrimp curry was curry potatoes carrots and the shrimp itself sadly there was beef with In my curry I haven’t ate meant in 6 years so eating this made me very sick and upset my stomach so great Im very upset I have never had shrimp curry with beef in or on the menu doesn’t state that there is is beef In the meal I purchased the company needs to make sure this made know to customers so no one is hurt mental or spiritual and also physically like me with my stomach this is very upsetting and I don’t know how to tell my husband I consumed meat

Ordered take out food got home and the whole order was wrong. They upcharged us on things we didn’t even get! This is not the first time we’ve ordered food here and were missing items. Called to talk to someone about our order and no one picked up. Super disappointed with the customer service.

Food was disgusting worse then cafeteria food apparently people in California don't know what good food taste like.

I placed a catering order last minute on Saturday morning for a dinner party Saturday night for 12 guests. The catering manager offered double the amount of food I really needed, he did not inform me of the cost up front but he immediately charged my credit card. When I picked up the food, I was shocked at the amount and price of the food. It was easily twice what I expected to pay and I’m sure I had enough food for 20+ guests. I’ve never had a caterer charge my credit card without informing me of the cost up front and getting my approval first. I will not call L and L for catering in the future! I will give a shout out to the staff at the San Marcos location, they were very apologetic for the situation, the food was amazing and enjoyed by all my guests. But I will take my business elsewhere.

I don’t see how this can be acceptable, basically all of the barbecue beef in my order was burned. It’s rude and unprofessional to think it’s ok to serve this to a customer!

The food is good, but they're customer service is trash. The girl working the front attitude sucks. Definitely not stop to eat here again.

The loaded fry thing was fire! Thank you to the girl at the register and the tattoo faced cook for hookin it up for sure! Bomb food friendly service!

Seafood platter is loaded up with chicken, beef. Short on seafood. The chicken not as good as most L&L

The cashier was super nice and friendly and the food is really good. I like the environment inside and it's very enjoyable:)

Very, very long wait for takeout. Order was still wrong, but we made the mistake of not checking till we got home, 20 mins away. I saw they were hiring.they were seriously understaffed. The girl who took our orders was alone. She was very sweet, but spent every spare second texting on her phone. She seemed like she'd rather be anywhere else. I didn't blame her at all. The food was pretty good, and we'll prolly give it another try when they aren't as busy. We'll check the order, and eat there. Lessons learned.

Love this place. Found it a couple weeks ago and keep coming back. Great food, awesome customer service. The employees here are so nice and helpful! ️ Try the seasoned deep fried chicken skins, you won’t regret it.
