18This Senegalese hot spot is nothing but AWESOMENESS on a plate. Try the Yassaa, seafood coconut of mafe for dinner. And if you're a lush like me, you'll be a fan of their house made cocktails made with tamarind, ginger or hibiscus. YUM. One of the best little finds that keeps me coming back for more. Service isn't always quality, but the food is, f'sho.
I've been to Local Edition a few times and unfortunately it seems to have gotten progressively less better every time.
My only experience with the Baobab Tree involves Le Petit Prince from the book Le Petit Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. Having said that, I, myself, felt like Le Petit Princess upon tasting their crab cake dish.
Some friends of mine recommended this place for my bday dinner.oh my! I've never heard of senegalese food.but it ws soo good.staff, very helpful and amazing.
I thought this place was really good. I have never had Sengalese food before, but I was pleasantly surprised. They have made me a fan and I would go back here again.
Great price on craft beers, and the cocktails were well prepared. The TWO fireplaces add some great comfort and ambiance, but the music was a little clubby for a Monday night.
One of my favorite bars to go to. Drinks are good and they have couches to lounge on if you come early enough and snag one. They have shuffleboard too which is cool.
Amazing place to go on a weekend. Great drinks and music. Hard to get reservations but if you can it is highly recommended
Loved it! This place had live music on Thursday night when we visited. Great ambience and good cocktails!
Great speakeasy atmosphere with talented mixologists. If you like an old fashioned try the “Local Edition”
Some of the best cocktails in town. Owned by the same team that owns the liquor store Cask around the corner on 3rd. Rumors of a secret connecting tunnel between the two places exists. What is true? What is legend?
My favorite bar in SF. Period. It's underground, it's prohibition era themed, it's incredible. Go tonight. Stop what you are doing and go tonight.
One of my favorite happy hour places in the city. Reservations are a must if you want a sit down table.
I always think I'm going to enjoy this place more than I do. Good music. Decent drinks. But I always feel like I'm waiting for a drink rather than just enjoying the night.
Kind of an unassuming storefront but once you enter, it's much larger than you'd think. They have a great bourbon and whisky collection, but really they stock a great collection overall.
The bar tender assertively said he doesn’t feel comfortable serving a diabetic anything other than gin and soda when I asked for advice on his favorite low sugar drink. Sounds like discrimination to me.
This is THE place to host your special event. It has a very elegant, speakeasy vibe. The bar is first class. The decor is gorgeous, stylish, luxurious, and you feel fabulous just being there. It is steeped in history, making it a must see for visitors. The seating is glamorous and plentiful, there is ample room for dancing, and the live music has an excellent sound. This is just an all around quality experience. A true San Francisco treasure!
Decent bar off Market. Sort of the defacto enormous "Speakeasy" of 2005. It's huge inside. You can reserve tables.
