Lockheed is a great place to work. Did a temp assignment seem years back and the pay was great as well as the staff.

My late husband was a life-long employee at Lockheed Sunnyvale and they have always been great with us. I still get his retirement benifits.

A company that would be a respected place of business for the American people if they weren't rife with scandal after scandal and over involved with secretly contracting with tyrants who don't have the best interest of the nation in mind. Basically a ship that sprung a leak and will eventually sink itself taking any it can with it!

I once worked here for a subcontractor named Hawaiian Pacific, who was working for a contractor named Thermal Equipment Corporation, as I was GTA (Gas Tungsten Arc, or TIG) Welding stainless steel liquid cryogenic lines for some gigantic autoclaves, for then Lockheed Missiles and Space Company, as I liked working here. The first week on the job, I saw what was either a Poseidon or a Polaris Missile (I don't know which), but it was impressive to say the least, at least from where I was standing. When it got close to the 4th of July, they would have their annual air show at Moffet Field, but during work, the Blue Angels, the Harrier and the U2 were all out there flying around or taking off, as the U2 was really impressive, as when it got airborne, it looked like it almost went at about a 60 or 75 degree climb and a few seconds later it was out of sight! The owner of the company I was working for came out to where I was sitting there watching the jets fly, as he told me just to stay there and watch and he would come get me when he was ready for me to make a weld for him. He was a good guy to work for, as I worked several jobs for him.
