Lolita's Mexican Food reviews
15It was my very first time at Lolita's Mexican Food. I told staff this is my first visit and thought that would motivate to impress them to make me a repeat customer and take serious that I gave Lolita's a chance. The livescan company recommended Lolita's to me. My food was not FRESHLY PREPARED. The hard shell for tacos were HARD AS CEMENT. TOTALLY TOOK AWAY FROM THE TACOS AND CRACKED APART AND MADE BIG MESS. BOTH the refried beans and rice were NOT FRESH. And the rolled chicken tacos were DRIED OUT, AND I TASTED NO CHICKEN. AGAIN, SHELL HARD AS CEMENT. FRESH FOOD LOOKS APPETIZING. YOU CAN INSTANTLY SPOT STALE FOOD. Unfortunately I didn't check my food before I left. But no customer should have to. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED SPENDING MY HARD-EARNED MONEY HERE AND WILL NOT RETURN OR RECOMMEND LOLITA'S TO ANYONE. SERVE FRESHLY-PREPARED FOOD ALL THE TIME.
The Asada Burritos Are Not Very Good The Machine Soft Drinks Don't Have Good Hygiene And They Don't Have Gas And The Machines Need Maintenance The Service Is A Little Good They Serve You Very Fast But Personally In The Food They Need A Touch De Sason It's A Little Complicated To Find The Place And The Entrance Is Also Complicated To Find It, , , , B.
Yum! Food was fast (wasn't busy tho) but very good, such a nice restaurant to, nice interior, patio and draft beer
Lolita’s has always been our local go-to place for Mexican food in San Diego. I know… I know… some of my Latino friends will not agree with me. But I do love their tsunami chips and well done protein carne asada chips and my kiddos love the crispy fries California burrito. Yessiree, you could customize your order. Even my nieces and nephews from New York and Northern CA make an effort to come to San Diego on a Saturday to make sure they’re open. Rocky has excellent customer service skills. Kudos to his manager for hiring him. We were so happy that they opened a branch in Eastlake, right in our neighborhood. Keep up the good work.
I ordered a super Quesadilla for take-out at 6: 45 p.m. On a Thursday evening. After waiting 30 minutes, I went to the counter to inquire about the status of my order. Two minutes later, my name was finally called at 7: 17 p.m.
I have a 5-minute drive home, and my food was just barely above room temperature, and the edge of the tortilla turned hard and crunchy.
I'm not likely to return.
I thought I try the fish tacos, Lolitas Fish tacos are not that great, no flavor, the fish looks like a flat filet sliced, the bread coating was not appealing, the taco was over packed with cabbage. Dont waste your money on this item. Rubio fish tacos are so much better.
Ordered a Tsunami burrito and evidently they have decided to cut costs. What should have been steak and shrimp ended up being mostly lettuce. This was hands down the worst burrito! This is a surefire way to lose customers. Good thing Birria Kings is opening up next door! You would think Lolitas would try and keep up with the competition rather than cheat their customers and drive a stake through their own heart!
Oh well, glad the shopping center now has great alternatives.
Only issue, if you order online for pick up, it's a 3rd party and you are charged $9 to pick-up. Food is as good as I remember. Don't live in the area anymore, so don't get here as often.
Love it here. The Carne Asado was awesome, crazy, cool, and Lit! Sheesh! Like the new kids slang! My homie Eduardo surely knows how to bust it down! Bust it down making these tacos, man!
Classic Lolitas quality food! Patience is the essence)
I got the Pollo Asado Fries and they are SO good! Sad they have to be closed on Sundays.
Wow
The best mexicano food ever
Loved it
So yummy
And the seevice ver y nice and friendly girls
The carne asada meat they make is great. Love the flavor and texture. The Spanish rice is also good. Having said that, the refried beans and french fries seemed like they came from a package. Be prepared to wait for your food after placing your order. Ours took over 30 minutes to come out so order ahead of you can. My carne asada burrito was half empty. All the meat and guacamole was on one end with French fries filling up the rest. Parking is easy with the large lots. It’s located in an outdoor food court setting behind the fountain. Right next door is what looks like a church in a commercial space.
Kids and I go there after having fun at Skyzone. Their beans are so good. We tried the loaded nachos and they were awesome. Shredded beef burrito was very tender and had good flavor. The salsa bar is good. Wish they had spicier salsa though, but the radishes and cebollitas are a nice touch.
Order ahead, the food took about 45 mins or more to be ready, there is a great outdoor seating area you can bring your dogs. There was a very helpful young staff member who was very attentive. I had chicken taquitos but chicken had no flavor.
Food is crazy expensive for the quantity. Your $10-12 burrito looks like it could be a kindergartner’s lunch, instead of a real meal. Service is good, generally friendly and accommodating. Nothing wrong with the establishment or it’s staff, but the bang for buck value totally lacks and I would rather drive 20 minutes for a burrito then go to this place again.
