Beyond grateful with this hospital
My baby girl stayed there for a few days, I was by her side every time
Doctors, nurses, therapists every single person at the hospital is amazing
This hospital is one of the best in CA I’m really grateful with them

The doctors are amazing. They know how to handle all sorts of situations. My son received a kidney transplant here and he has gotten amazing care from the doctors. I only give four stars though because of the nurses. During my six years coming to this hospital occasionally I have seen nurses roll their eyes at me, make faces, talk about patients behind their backs and not do their job correctly. My worst experience with nurses was when my son got his kidney transplant. In the intensive care unit where he was put before and after tranplant, I believe it was floor 4, a chargs nurse named TIM who works the night shift told me that being in the hospital was not a vacation. I was very disheartened to hear that. We felt unwelcome at the hospital by this guy named TIM. Tim has no idea what we have gone through and how I have been working everyday without a break for six years. It was so cruel for him to tell me that. I have never forgotten his nasty words. On the day my son received his kidney, a red head named Chelsy also dropped my son back on the bed. He had just had a major surgery. My advice to parents, do NOT trust some of the nurses. Be cautious.

Kudos to RN Stella for taking great care of my wife who is temporarily staying at the ICU. Her exemplary performance of her duties deserves commendation. Thank you.

My wife was admitted from the ER to labor and delivery. The ER is slow and small. When we arrived to the maternity ward. We had to wait more than an hour to be seen by the triage nurse. We were seen by the doctor one time while we were there. The nurses passed along information from the doctor to us. They made us feel as if we were unworthy to be seen by the doctor. They lost our paperwork. Everyone working there gave an attitude as if they did not like working there. We felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. The PCA at the maternity ward was the only friendly person there the whole time. All I can say is that we were greatly disappointed. I remember in the 1990s, Loma Linda was at the top of it's class and now it has moved far from it. We will no longer be returning. We will continue to look for another hospital that cares about it's patients.

I had to take my son last wk and we got lucky because there was no more then 20 min wait. I was glad that it wasn’t long and the service was amazing. My son had to get stitches and the Dr’s that took care of my son also did a great job. My son did so well and saw the whole thing.
Love it

The nurses are great but its very upsetting my son has been admitted since Tuesday night and its now Friday afternoon and I've been trying to shower and they say there's nothing they can do for me. I dont live close by and i get tomorrow is new years but today isn't a holiday not sure why the showers are closed. All I want is a dam shower I'm not even asking for food. The social worker is saying i have to wait until Monday. So that means I have to go almost a week with no shower. Ya she doesn't care because she gets to shower. Ridiculous im very upset

Horrible experience coming to Loma Linda for the first time. My son had been exposed to COVID from someone at school and started showing symptoms a few nights ago. Yesterday while I was at work my son got worse so I left early to rush him to the hospital. We got there before 1 am checked in and was told that because he was exposed we had to wait outside. What got me so upset is that they let another kid coughing nonstop stay indoors around everyone while my son (who was able to knock out for a bit) was able to sleep. We didn’t think we would be out there for hours. 3am rolls around it’s 45 degrees outside were the only ones out there and I ask if we could bring him inside at least to the first doors as he’s shaking from the cold. Was told it would be best to wait in the car until they call us. It’s 4am and they call children left and right, kids that got here after us got checked in and my son still hadn’t seen anyone. When I asked they said some kids would be discharged and my son would be seen soon. We wouldn’t wait anymore so I asked if we could leave and was told yes. As we were leaving one of the nurses told us that they would take him if we wanted to. I declined and we left. Had I known it would take several hours to get checked and wait in 45 degree weather with a sick child trust me, I would of gone to another hospital.

Superb treatment! I can’t thank the doctors, nurses, and staff enough! This is where you want your child to be when all of Southern California medical professionals can’t diagnose your child. My wife and I were left speechless to the attention and medical professionalism we received. Our 14 month old was in the hands of the best of the best no doubt about it and that is something no amount of money can buy!

I got transported here for Liver problems and at first the staff was nice then I got moved to a different room and they treated me like I was some outcast and like I didn’t know anything. They made me feel dumb. They literally constantly talked about how “I don’t know anything” in front of me. For example: one nurse said “I don’t thinks she understands the concept” (they referred to me) then the other nurse said “well obviously some of us haven’t been here before” and chuckled. Luckily I got transported to a different hospital and the ambulance people were probably my favorite, they’re the nicest but the others need to be nicer and need to adjust themselves.

Love this hospital!
It saved my moms life over 30 years ago. My mom came down with Colon Cancer at the age 28 and Loma Linda found the polyp before it went to far, they caught it in its infancy stage. She did not even need cemo.
My mom has been Cancer Free since 1987…!
My grandson was medi-vaced there from Desert Reginal hospital in Palm Springs. He only was given 37% of recovery he had heart problems, 2 collapsed lunges from Hi Desert Hospital in Josuha Tree, from them giving him anesthesia right after birth instead of oxygen, The OR team in there while she was getting a C-Section mistakenly gave him the wrong vital resource immediately following the birth for approximately 10 minutes before they realized that he was dying…
Again, Desert Reginal did all they could do for him after being medivaced to them first, then lastly he was medivacced to Loma Linda where The most Holy hospital stands tall!
Thank God and the God Sent staff at Loma Linda for all the miracles they have done for my family…!

My grandson was checked in before 8pm, it's 1: 55am and he still hasn't seen a doctor. Its been 6hrs and no medical service yet!
Horrible service, they make patients wait for hours without seeing a doctor or checking there vitals. I'm sure they have lawsuits often with this type of process. Just because it's not a trauma doesn't mean it's not an emergency. I was denied to speak to the charge nurse and I was told that is a trauma 1 hospital. So she said the wait time could be over 10hrs. All that remodeling for nothing, they are a horrible hospital. They need to make a lot of changes in there process and start caring about there patients.

I had such high hopes of delivering at this hospital. I even changed insurance to make sure it happened. I am super disappointed I did. I honestly felt like I was everyone’s practice dummy. I understand this is a teaching hospital but I didn’t expect my experience to be like that. The person who put in my IV left my arm bruised and did not even wear gloves. When she did my IV she literally “no lie” poked around my arm with the needle trying to find the vein. When I delivered my baby, I told the doctor I did not want to push on my back. She said I had to. When I explained that I did not want to she still continued to say no that I had to push on my back. That made me super upset. I told her that if I wasn’t making progress then I wanted to try a different position. She didn’t even tell me when my baby was coming out. I was pushing with my eyes closed. Idk to be honest this whole process has given me PTSD about my delivery. I will not be delivering at Loma Linda again.

The wait time is ridiculous almost 10hrs to be admitted and still waiting. The worst service from a children's hospital. Many people left after waiting for 5hrs and some patients are from the previous day. So unhappy with their service, I'm never coming back here. If you have the time to wait that long, then this is the place to come. I'm giving them a star just because I couldn't give them a zero. Some patients are even sleeping on the floor.
