Lone Oak Lodge, Monterey CA

*It is a great place to stay at Monterey. Monty's service was great and always helpful.
* Rooms are clean and newly renovated. Nothing fancy but it has everything you need to stay comfortably
* Value for your money as well
* Situated near areas where you can walk around and grab a bite.
* Situated near Monterey's wonderful areas one would love to discover and visit.

Pros:
Newly renovated floors, paint and crown molding, very comfortable beds, bathroom including walk in shower, wall mounted TV with great cable selection, refrigerator and microwave all at a GREAT rate!
They also have a spa and sauna room.

Cons:
The furniture is worn and there is nowhere to hang clothes.

My wife and I very much appreciated all the updates and our 3 night stay. We will definitely use them again on next visit to the area!

The motel is clean. I had a room that had a fireplace. Great room rate. Restaurants and businesses walking distance. Friendly and courteous customer service. I asked for a room away from the traffic and they accommodated my request.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Giving it a five star review as we got what we were looking for. Rooms are sparkling clean and at a reasonable price. No carpet on the floor. The room was not dark / dingy / damp smelling. Simple rooms with basic amenities (microwave and fridge), easy parking. Window blinds do let some light in at night so recommend carrying an eye mask if you are sensitive to light. Would definitely stay here again.

Clean, modern motel. Only recommendation would be a rack for hanging clothes (there's no closet) and better quality towels. I'd give it a higher rating, but the price was out of line with what you get. But's that more to do with the market than the motel itself.

Lone oak lodge is the place when you’re in Monterey! I’ve been coming here for years and enjoy my stay. Staff and cleaning staff are friendly. I believe the motel changed owners because I can tell that the rooms aren’t maintained as they used to be. The shower handle fell off, the kitchen sink was a bit flimsy and dining table chairs seemed like they were going to break. It’s the small touches that you can tell that things have changed. Besides that the room was clean and my stay was pleasant. Lone oak owners please keep your rooms maintained. Previous owners did a lot of upgrades a few years ago and was great. Please upkeep the upgrades in the rooms.

Staff was friendly. Pool and spa were closed however. The room we had, had no weather stripping around the door so we could hear the howl of the wind. If you only need a place to sleep and shower it’s perfect.

We had a lovely stay at the lone oak lodge. The lovely man on reception kindly upgraded us to a king room which was perfect after a long day of driving. The rooms have been updated and are super comfy, clean and modern. Highly recommend!

This is a five-star rating for a two-star motel. It is great value and has everything that you could possibly want. Coffee maker with Starbucks coffee, television, our accessible room had a gas fireplace, the heating and air conditioning worked well, the bathroom was expansive. And they provided toiletries. Monty at check-in could not have been more personable and welcoming. The Lone Oak Lodge totally suited our needs for an overnight and would have been a fine base had we been staying a few days. It is not luxury, it's basic, but with all the amenities you could possibly need. The location is easy to get to and we felt safe.

Got the Queen Cottage and was able to accommodate my family of 6 with a full eat in kitchen. Location was great, it was nearby stores and not far at all from the beach. The hotel room was very clean and beds were very comfortable.

I never have slept so good i want to buy a bed like they had loved the bed wifi worked well, people there was nice i asked for extra coffee packets they had them their fast, normally motels take 120 to 200 and hold it as a deposit taking a week to get it back not here thank god.i will stay here again next year, stayed there 6-25 to 6-27 room was clean

Monty was great! He was very communicative and accommodating even with our very late check in! He has a great attitude and you can feel his genuine care for the guests! The room was newly renovated with new beds and bathroom floor and shower and counter, very very clean! I would 100% recommend Lone Oak Lodge! Great job Monty and staff!:)
