Long Beach House of Paw reviews
14Awesome service and considerate staff! Definitely give them a try if you’re ever in the area.:)
I have been turned down by countless places to groom my dog over the last year because of his rear leg paresis but NOT HOUSE of Paw. Both owner and groomer were extremely kind, knowledgeable and most importantly they be friended my miniature schnauzer
And restored his cuteness from horrific mats all over. They took their time and it shows. Highly recommend this place! I’ll be back soon.
Had such a great experience in this place! Staff was super friendly and my pup looked dashing than ever!
Disgusted at this experience I’m sorry. 2 dogs for a bath not a Spa $130 the dishonest lady was very nice but not disclosing the costs upfront and adding a treatment to my animal without my consent upset me and then to be shocked by an exorbitant costs. Never again will I ever go to this place again. I asked the young lady before she took the dogs. I’m a seasoned reviewer and rarely have I had an owner FLAT out LIE. Instead of calling me to try to make it right you say my dogs were very dirty? (They were born 8/23 they are only out to walk a few times a day. You also said to me that you saw one Flea that’s why you opted to use “some” treatment that you never offered and charged me for my service. Handling this amicably would have suited this business better. This groomer is deceptive will not let you see the conditions of the rear or rear play area. I never called n this location I walked in and she refused to tell me or point out the cost of the service after asking her numerous times. My dogs also came back very thirsty like they were not given water. No treat NOTHING.
Your dog is not safe here. My dog was almost run over two days before Christmas because of their negligence.
I've been taking my dogs to House of Paw off and on for several years for grooming, and I've always had a good experience. Recently, ownership has changed and there is no way I will ever return.
On December 23rd, I took both of my dogs for their grooming appointments. A couple of hours later, they called to say they were both ready for pickup and I started making the walk over from my house - about 7-8 blocks. I was only a block or two from my house when I saw a small dog speeding by - my dog! I immediately went chasing after her, but she was clearly spooked and fast. Thank goodness for Good Samaritans, because two different people stepped in the street to warn cars and, in one instance, stop a car from running over my dog. Thankfully, she made it all the way home. If she hadn't known her way home (we were shocked!) and multiple people hadn't stopped cars, it could have been a very different scenario.
At this point, I started calling House of Paw to confirm my other dog was safe and to ask what had happened. I called several times and they didn't answer. My husband went to retrieve our other dog. When he arrived at the store, the woman at the front desk didn't even know our other dog was missing! And she had been there the whole time, ignoring the ringing phone. When I finally did reach the manager, he was flippant and dismissive, with no explanation for what happened. He finally apologized once I outlined the gravity of the situation (most importantly, that I would have had to tell my young daughter her dog was dead two days before Christmas).
Even though there is no excuse, I hoped this was a one-time mistake by new business owners and that they would be more careful in the future. Fast forward a week, I'm walking down 2nd street, and see that they left both doors wide open yet again, making no effort to prevent a future incident! They have ZERO concern for the safety of dogs and have no business caring for the pets of others.
They took really great care of my furbaby.he came out looking so cute! I’ll definitely be recommending this place to my friends.
Unprofessional, tactless, rude and condescending. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.
I stood there for a good 20 mins with my dog. No one went to the front I even called to see if I could try to get somebody's attention but nothing. Has anyone even been inside back there for the day care or we don’t know what’s really back there?
My dog is cool and calm when he goes for grooming @ House of Paw! He likes to go to dog grooming because Anahi is caring and loving with dogs and follows my instructions and does a great job. Thank u so much for ur service Anahi and your wonderful teamwork, especially Sofia! You are the best.
Excellent service
I take my bully every month and they always do an excellent job with 5 stars
I’ve been in the hunt for a good grooming establishment for months now since I moved to Long Beach. And I finally found one, the girls are super helpful and knowledgeable on what the do. My lil one and I found our new family!
