We have snow in the Bay Area! The last it snowed this much was 46 years ago. According to a very friendly ranger, the whole place were white with a good few inches of snow in the morning. Most of the snow have already melted when I got there at 3pm, as being shown in the pictures.

Been here many times in the past year and it’s always a beautiful and quiet place to go for a short walk and enjoy the sunset!

Long Ridge Open Space Preserve is one of our favorite weekend getaway location. There are lots of trails which are very beautiful and can be visited any time of the year.

The parking is roadside, so it might be tricky to find parking on public holidays during rush hour.

A must visit place if you are looking for some peaceful time with nature.

Great biking area with single track, double track, great views and variety of environments with trees, creeks, ridges and wide open terrain. Many places to park, and restrooms at a couple of the parking spots. Can get crowded on weekends in 10am range. Overall one of the best mountain biking regions in the Bay Area.

Very lighted trafficked trail! There’s multiple conjoining trails and trail heads to make a plethora of different exploratory routes. I hiked the full loop (9.8 miles) and there was a wide range landscapes, from completely shaded to fully exposed. Bring water the exposure to full sun and elevation gain will tire you out. Trails were easy to read and navigate.

Long Ridge Open Space Preserve is a great preserve to hike or mountain bike. The scenery through the forest and the views from the hilltops of the surrounding landscape are incredible especially on a clear day.

Beautiful views too the western mountain ranges, trail is wide and easy but does go downhill making the hike back up difficult.

Wonderful place, but it is difficult to get to. Must drive up through Saratoga and the road is narrow and windy, which means you may get stuck behind other drivers. Parking is also scarse.
