16It was dark when I went, first time ever goin to west cost Beach anywhere. But it was so worth it. Plenty of parking during work week. Still active with younger adults in the area but respectful attitudes. Well worth checking out, there are trash cans through out for easy clean up!
Busy! If going at sunset, expect a crowd and take your own beach chairs and a sweater. Lots of people enjoying the end of a summer day.
One of my favourite places to go for a walk, workout or have a picnic. Overlooking the ocean one could not ask for a better place.
A spot with a beautiful view. You will love the magnificent view of balboa island, and the villas in this region are unbelievably beautiful. It is also possible to go down to the beach from this point.
Great views. Beautiful landscaping. Parking was pretty easy (on a weekday evening, not sure how much busier weekends get).
Gorgeous views and really nice people are always there relaxing and waiting to see the sunset. Many bring their dogs to walk and hang out. It is a social dogs dream place to meet new dogs.
No dogs allowed. No trash cans so be prepared to take your trash with you. Busy, small, CLEAN, grassy area that's well kept overlooks The Newport-Avalon Channel Entrance. No beach access from the lookout. Extremely limited parking. Beautiful views. A few benches are available. Most people bring a picnic and blanket to enjoy their time spent. Paid access and parking available up the road at a ramp named Corona del Mar Main Beach. Be kind to the residents surrounding the overlook - no loud music or noise, no glass containers, etc.
Perfect look out for sunset watching. Gets a little crowded at dusk but still fun and romantic. For a couple or family. Take a little picnic.
A pleasant overlook for luxuriating in the serenity of the ocean, while observing the trails of boats bent on escaping the Bay and challenging the "Big Waters" of the Pacific.
They were closed with a citation on the gate for a 3rd time offense and not due to open anytime soon we drove really far too go here only to be let down
Great view of the inlet. It wasn't super busy on a Friday night after the sun went down. Lots of benches and bunnies in the grass.
Went on a Monday afternoon, didn’t park on the parking lot but there were many available parking spaces though. We parked on the street parking for free and there were plenty of parking spots available. The beach was nice the view was great. Should wait for the sunset, definitely will come back again and see the sunset.
Beautiful place! The semi private beaches looked very inviting, without the high waves making it impossible to swim. I followed the path alongside Ocean Blvd to walk, but it is a short one and I regretted not to have another trail or path to follow.
Awesome view for a special moment! Bring a chair and sit in the spacious grassy areas. There are several benches also. Lots of dogs also.
Excellent Vista point
Bird eye view of Corona Del Mar Beach scene
Plenty of benches and tree shade to lie down and take a nap if you're tired
Recommended spot
Nice place. Fun to climb and a nice place for pictures. Looks like a good place to bring the kiddos. There were many families enjoying the area. Down side, at the time I visited, was the construction going on in the area. You do have to pay for parking.
