We have 2 goldens and Lori did an awesome job with the two of them We can take them down town on walks and they are very well behaved. We let the grandchildren play with them without any concerns whatsoever. We have used Lori for both training and train and boarding, and couldn’t be happier.

Lori is an amazing dog trainer who helped my extremely anxious cockapoo puppy become a dog I can take anywhere. She is honest and an exceptional trainer for your dog and yourself as I believe I needed the training more than my dog:)

Her professionalism is beyond compare and her follow up is also next level. I really appreciate that she has several solutions to provide for what works best for each dog. She has a gift of breaking down the techniques/skills that she wants you to learn in a way that is easily understood.

I recently enrolled my dog in private training at LHDT (with Amy) and I couldn’t be happier with results. Amy was helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The training techniques she used were effective and my dog loved every minute of it. I highly recommend LHDT if you are looking to improve your dog’s behavior and obedience.

Ineffective and has no manners. Talks to people in a very condescending tone as if everyone around her is an idiot.
No wonder she chose dogs as her clients as she will never be successful working with humans.

A bit too aggressive for dogs who don’t deserve it. I paid the $100 assessment fee and went through the 20 min “interview” but it was more of an interview for me because it deterred me from going with Lori.

Might work for some but even that 20 minutes seemed to break my dog’s spirits.

My dog is extremely fearful and nervous, and within minutes Lori had her under control and healing. It’s a long road to build my dog’s confidence, but Lori gave us so many good tips that we’re on our way. She has so much experience and knows the dog’s behavioral needs and points out ways we can redirect her fear. I appreciate all of her experience and help.

Amy at LHDT transformed our jumping, hyper-excited, and stubborn little Boston Terrier, Del, into a calm and obedient little gentleman who we can now take anywhere! We couldn't be any happier!

I had the pleasure of working with Amy in two separate training groups to help me become a strong leader for my 13 month old Rhodesian Ridgeback. Amy is extremely knowledgeable and genuinely wants to empower owners so they are able to have a relationship with their dog that is built on trust and security. She is very approachable and always encouraged me to bring up any problem areas so we can work through them together. As an empath, I struggle with taking an assertive position but Amy always explained the reasoning behind the training technique and provided reassurance throughout the process.
