3I am filing a formal Complaint against this male (Araia? !?), who answered the phone. Very unprofessional and rude! Also: he refused to take information down at first and then wrote down the wrong information. He refused to take down information about BLACK MOLD at 24 hr Fitness/Hawthorne, even though Code Enforcement/Hawthorne directed me to the HealthDepartment to report this! When asked for his Supervisor’s name, he refused to answer me and hung up.
This department is useless for us the general public they are just here to help the landlords or slumlords I shall say.they come after compliance date then check things are not good and give landlords time extensions to do their super bad repairs and as long as they are in compliance they call it a day.contact LADBS and housing or the CDC.
They are not for the people and tend more to landlords for their own personal gain $$$. Good luck getting help. They should be investigated for not helping tenants who live in poor conditions.
