From the top administrator to the lowest person on the totem pole they're
unprofessional, liars, worthless, and lazy! Six days of constant calls requesting a missed pick-up. Being informed it's scheduled someone will be there. I'm still waiting. They really need to clean house!

How does one reach these people. Mail gets returned from address they have listed, (on Colorado). There is no one receiving mail at Broadway address either. They dont answer the phone.

Collector misses up to half of my street sometimes and makes a huge mess in the street. Over the years I feel like I work for DWP cause I have to spend so much of my time on the phone to get my trash picked up regularly.
We have no choice but to use them for trash in Los Angeles, but they operate by their own rules.
This is wrong, if it were a private trash company the city would cite and fine them for all kinds of infractions, but since they are a government mandated monopoly, no fines and no accountability.

Poor service! It already takes long getting someone to answer that now during covid time it takes worse. I’ve called multiple numbers for a dead animal pick an nobody answers!
He was hit in the middle of the street and I didn’t have to heart to leave him there! No type of help!

I want to publicly thank my collectors. My green can was stolen by an illegal pot shop next door and filled up with smelly trash. Before I found my stolen green can loaded up with garbage I ordered a new green can. It was delivered the day after my next collection date. In the meantime I found the stolen green can and asked my black trash can truck driver to take the garbage out of the green can and he was very friendly and agreed. I know that was beyond the rules but since it wasn’t my fault I truly appreciated his act of kindness. Well done LA San

For the last 3 weeks we have called the city of Los Angeles to pick up bulky items and when we call back they keep saying the next two days
Bad service

In North Hollywood, the garbage trucks come at 5: 30am and sit on my block for 2 hours making so much noise, I lose 2 hours of sleep. It’s illegal to make noise before 7. Next time I’m coming outside and calling the police.

This week Aug. 22,2019 trash pick up day. The driver picked up all the black cans in condominium complex except for 8 units #1931-1945 on Mount Shasta Dr. Called the main office the same day and again next day, was told that the trash will be picked up in 2 working days, which should have been on Thursday.today is Fri.evening and no pick-up. Somebody in the department is not competent in doing their job.

Updating my review. After several calls, tweets and even commenting on Twitter-the LA Sanitation Bureau has handled my issue. I'm going to give them 3 stars now, although it shouldn't have taken so long to get fixed. It took several months before it was resolved. I suppose I finally spoke to the right person who got things done. My advice to anyone who has problems is to go to Twitter. I tried the regular route but finally going to Twitter to complain got things fixed. I hate to be that aggressive-but this situation had called for it. The only reason I had left the review below was sheer and utter frustration but I want to update people and let them know that my issue was finally resolved.

Worst customer service ever. I call nearly every other week b/c they don't pick up my trash-or any of my neighbors. You wait on hold forever, and they say they'll come back the next day to collect your trash (which never happens) and there's absolutely no reason for it. There's nothing blocking the trucks, they just forget to go down our route almost every week. Nothing is ever done about it.

They missed only our black trash bin on the entire street and when I called (after waiting 30 Mins for a representative) they said it would take another 1-2 business days for our missed trash bin to be picked up. I told her the trash is very full due to pickup day already being late 1 day due to New Year’s Day and being it is Friday this means it would not be picked up until Monday or Tuesday. I told her I needed the trash picked up tomorrow but she only stated that their policy is 1-2 business days.

Today I was cleaning up the leaves in my front yard with a friend, when Bill Losoya (224) stopped his sanitation truck and showed us a quick and better way to put the leaves in the green can. He was very helpful and even emptied my green can twice. I just want to praise him for his friendly attitude and assistance. We really appreciated his help!

Ok So I'm giving my review to the dead animal pick up guys. You guys are my heros. We've had dead rooster and a dead skunk on our property and the smell was just naaasty. The skunk was the worst but these guys just rolled on up, picked up these decaying corpses and went on their way pretty quickly. Thank you guys for always coming thru.

Now, the illegal dumping reports, that will be a different review.and not as good as this one.

I called last Wednesday and told the Sanitation dept that someone stoled my black trash can They told me they would only pick up black big trash bags which I never use.so I spent 10.00 for a box of black trash bags. Today is Wednesday and my black trash bags are still on the curb and it is 5: 30pm. I called and they changed their story. Yes a new black trash bin will be there tomorrow, Thursday September 28 and that they will pick up my black trash bags. I wait to see if they do. They told me they would pick the bags up today. Hopefully Thursday they will pick them up and I will get a new trash container. What I want to know is, WHY would someone steal my trash container?

No good you get paid to service people but you hang up on the ones that are paying you my parents have a dead animal on the property I call to have it removed and I get no help

The recycle sanitation collector working Otsego STreet in Sherman oaks is a disaster. After collecting the garbage he hurls the bins into my growing ficus plants. He has already destroyed one. Today he did it again. He is a menace and East Valley District #206 should do something about this guy who is giving them a bad name.

Where can I find out exactly what is recyclable? I've looked on all the sites and I've gotten different answers. The Los Angeles Sanitation Bureau should have a clear concise link on their website.

WORST EVER. Missed collection three weeks in a row, keep saying 'two business days' and we still PAY their monthly fees. BS!

Called at 4: 30 was on hold past closing time at 5. Simple service that I wish the 311 app could do. You don't treat customers this way. Government workers in a liberal state. I held out 20 mins past closing. SAD. If you are on hold reading my prior review know you are not alone.

Crooks.when i think of DWP. 0 Stars.they don't read my meter, they just pick a recent bill and the highest one and bill me. Free Power, The recycle sanitation never gave me a green can and never can by to pick up the dead animal for two week and now another 5 day for schedule. Unbelievable

I have been reporting illegal dumbing starting in October 2016 till now Jan 2017 and they have not picked it up I called ever single week and they kept closing the ticket saying it was completed I called again and again same thing they kept telling me next Friday.reps are very rude.they don't understand how frustrating and dirty my street is because of this trash and people keep dumping. I have provided license plate numbers and nothing gets done I think I need to speak to a supervisor and they just don't want to transfer ME OVER 0STARS
