I am a former student who experienced racism from the sheriff's department. This school has people working there who don't support the black and brown community. It is not safe. Car robberies happens every other month. The sheriff's worry about the color of your skin before doing their job which is to serve and protect. The office workers have bad attitudes and Trade is not what it use to be! I hope that one day the people who care for minorities will work there and make the campus safe and fair.

I love the high energy and love I feel whenever I’m on the campus of Los Angeles Trade Technical College. From the President Instructors and frontline staff LATC, it has the feel of a family on purpose to facilitate the development of professional level technical skills. I’ve gone from student to proud parent of a student in the Design and Media school. Last night we attended the Golden Thimble fashion showcase, and it was a stone-cold blast. The theme of the show is Soul Train. Many of the schools on campus come together to put on a fabulous fashion show production. Enjoy the show through my eyes.

Love this campus. I learned how to swim in one semester in the lovely outdoor pools too. Let this be your sign & enroll

The campus is remodeled. Last time i was there was in 2020 before the quarantine. I have taken most of my classes here. Good professors overall. As for counseling and financial aid, it’s confusing to say the least. They all tell you different things. No one is the same. So that is the downside.

Tip: don’t wait on your financial aid to be given on time. Just buy your things with your own money and you will eventually get your help. They need help with administrating financial aid on time.

I finished the Electrical and Maintenance program of Fall 2022 and I can confidently say this is a really good opportunity for those willing to learn a specialized trade and make an excellent career out of it. I managed to graduate debt free with an associate degree thanks to some of the programs like EOPS and College Promise. The campus itself may not be nice like at ELAC, but the people here for the most part are friendly and welcoming. The education I got here is practical and up to date and would suggest those wanting to work in the electrical industry to study here. The only thing I had to pay out of my pocket would be the tools, but that’s a small price to pay for, for investing in the future.
