Clifonto's Mexican food in Escondido great atmosphere place is very comfortable very clean the staff there are the very best the food is great huge portions of food great prices very reasonable. Me and my girlfriend go there treat yourself to little ponchos you won't regret it

First time trying this place, food was ok. I had a piece of egg shell in my eggs and a fly kept flying around our food
Other than that the beans and rice were good.husband said his food was good too.

Delicious. Lage portions, too. We took half of our dinners home for another meal. I ordered a chicken chimichanga with guacamole and sour cream on the side. The salsas are also delicious.
Recommend the chilé rellenos, tacos, and enchiladas as well.

I was sitting their for more than 15 minutes. With no drinks. I know it’s busy but not even been acknowledged. A water or something. At the end i walk out. Worst service ever.

First time here and we sat in the very back which was fine, The service was great, the waiter was very nice and attentive. I got the shrimp tostada bowel and it was the bomb! There was shrimp in every bite not stingy at all. Very dodo food and the salsa and chips were fantastic! My neighbor goes every friday for dinner with his wife, now I know why

I ordered green chili and shrimp cocktail, the shrimp cocktail tasteless, the shrimp as they had been soaking for a long time, the green chile dish without good flavor, nothing more because they do not have a rating of less than zero.the waitresses should be more attentive to all the customers, they should offer dessert or more soda or whatever they can increase sales.very disagree with the experience lived in this place.

If you want real horchata, don’t come here. And If you want Alberto’s beans just go to Alberto’s. Why was i paying for $17 plates.

Our local sit down Mexican food restaurant, fresh tortilla so good, everything is perfectly seasoned

We are in town from Las Vegas visiting and wanted some good Mexican food that was open a bit late. We found the place! Prices are so reasonable, good amount of parking, and the service was fantastic! You walk in and are immediately welcomed by the decor of the interior. I loved it! Colorful, there was greenery, and it seemed very lovely. We got there around 815ish and didn't have to wait. Got seated and ordered a margarita for my husband and an horchata for myself. They do not skimp here! Horchata was in a big glass, and the alcohol prices were so affordable, especially coming from Las Vegas. The chips and salsa on the table were top notch! Chips seem house made and the salsas were very tasty! We both ordered a burrito, mine was the bitchin cali burrito and i made half of it wet with red sauce. I loved it! It had carne asada, shrimp, fries, guac, and pico and covered in a really good red mole sauce. We walked out spending $50 before tip. Our waitress was super friendly and made our experience very pleasant! If we are ever back in the area, we are absolutely coming back here!

They got good food good customer service wonderful place me and my wife ate the Salas and it's very hot negative effects stomach burning all night and we like spicy from Arizona there Salas is hot my only complaint otherwise food is to die for amazing food authentic Mexican food

Food was delicious. Service was excellent. Prices are the normal post covid. Definitely will be back.

Went to celebrate Dad’s 70th Birthday. The chips and gauc were amazing! I had the Taco Salad with carne asada. Excellent!

Actually very good food I loved the service the place is very nice only that the bathrooms smell like the bathroom of a bus station in Mexico they are penetrated by a very unpleasant aroma

First time here and i was pleasantly suprised. The service was great and the food was tasty. I was skeptical about the menudo.asked for a taste of the juice. It was decent but it wasn't red enough for my liking. So i opted for the Chile Verde plate and they come with hand made corn tortillas. They also serve CAFE DE OLLA. THAT'S A PLUS!

Staff had an attitude. Didn’t see not one smile from any of them. The food was OK at best. First and last time going here. I do not recommend.
