My son’s drum teacher, Juan, is an excellent instructor. He is well organized, always has a plan for his lesson so my son gets the most out of his 30minutes. He is kind, encouraging and enthusiastic. I have already seen a lot of progress in the month since he started lessons with Juan.
The school itself is well run by John who communicates in a respectful and timely way. Thank you Louder Now!

My son just started lessons with Juan in drums and guitar and he is stoked and really loves it! Juan is always super positive and encouraging! He makes playing music so fun.

John is an excellent teacher! He has been teaching my 10 yo son drums this year. He is able to foster a love for the instrument and for music in general. He has broadened my son’s musical taste, always picking fun songs while also letting him choose songs that he wants to learn - often improvising a level appropriate drum part! While my son doesn’t always find enough time to practice, John is very patient and positive and my son always looks forward to his lessons, which at this beginner stage is the absolute main thing!

John is a great teacher!

I was a self-taught guitarist for 11 years, and always had trouble progressing past early-intermediate techniques/songs. I could play chords nicely enough, but struggled with more advanced strum patterns, fingerpicking, and music theory. I went through cycles of getting into playing again, becoming bored, then putting the guitar down for a couple months and losing progress.

Since starting lessons with John, I have learned so much and playing guitar is more fun than ever! I am able to play more advanced songs, and have a way better time just jamming out.
I feel more confident playing around my friends and will even jam with some people. Louder Now! Has been a really positive experience for me that has let me get more out of my music.

My daughter is almost 15 and loves her electric guitar lessons with Matt at Louder Now. Matt makes each lesson fun and engaging. My daughter has learned an array of chords and songs in a relatively short amount of time, which has given her a great sense of accomplishment and motivation to continue learning an instrument.

Matt is my bass instructor and he’s the best! He works with you to understand what you want to play (rock, blues, funk), writes down practice exercises/ what you learned that day.

I highly recommend to anyone (child or adult) looking to learn.

A spontaneous decision to learn the drums was quickly brought into full effect with the help of Karen Moreno. She’s easy to talk to, very understanding, and makes learning incredibly fun (all the while keeping a professional stance). Very grateful to have had her as my first drumming instructor!:)

Just started lessons with John for my 4 year old. He tries to incorporate songs that interest her. She loves practicing Frozen everyday and looks forward to her weekly lessons.

I've been mucking around on guitar for decades & finally decided to get to know the instrument properly. Matt has been a great teacher, choosing a broad selection of pieces that challenge me on different axes and introducing tips and tricks along the way. I'm having more fun and playing much better.

John is so patient with my son. He's a great teacher, and is able to teach while also being thoughtful about how my son learns, who is 6.

I’ve been taking guitar lessons with John for over a year now and it’s been an incredible life enrichment. He’s great at finding what I need to improve on and takes the time to make sure I understand. I try not to miss lessons, but he makes it really easy to schedule make up lessons or give credit for the next month.

Our experience with Louder Now! Music lessons has been nothing less than amazing. My son has been with John for a year now, and he’s learned a great deal. Most importantly, I really appreciate how patient and helpful John has been with him and it’s what keeps my son coming back.

I’m new to music in all its forms- reading, playing, composing, but it’s been a lifelong dream to play piano and I found the BEST instructor, Karen, on Louder Now! Karen is a musical genius in her own right, very knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, and hilarious! I’m so excited I found her and that I’m actually playing songs my kids can recognize on the piano. I highly recommend her if you’re in search for a private music coach!

Guitar lessons with Matt are really fun and informative. He takes time to listen to you about what you’re looking to get out of the experience and what style you want to pursue. I can easily tell how much I’ve improved even with a few months of lessons. John is great at organizing everything and makes scheduling easy!

John is a fantastic teacher.  He is very friendly,  enthusiastic,  kind and has a good sense of humor.
Every lesson is full of learning, fun and he keeps me motivated.  He can teach different kinds of instruments so I appreciate that I can learn another instrument at the same time.  If you are looking for a music teacher in Los Angeles, I definitely recommend.

My son (12) had done a few weeks of beginner piano with Karen and he really enjoys it. She has a way with him. Corrects him so he doesn’t feel scolded. It’s a very light atmosphere. Keeps it fun. He even likes to practice so he can move forward.

John is a fantastic teacher! I have been taking adult lessons this past year and have learned so much. You can choose the music you wish to learn, or John will make suggestions based on your level. He is patient, no question is a stupid question and the lessons are always really fun! I would strongly recommend him to any learners, whatever stage you are at!

John's been an incredible guitar teacher! In the four months I've been taking lessons, I've learned the basics and picked up new songs faster than I ever did while trying to learn alone. I'm really glad I decided on finding a teacher, because I leave every lesson with a technique tip that cracks open what I've been stuck on that week. It's been a nice mix of choosing my own songs and learning some guitar classics, and John's done a great job keeping me motivated to practice even as adult non-hobby life gets busy. It's been such a fun time, lessons are affordable, and it's been one of my favorite gifts I've ever given myself:) Can't recommend Louder Now enough!
