Drove a distance to visit and find some fresh fruits. I was going through the strawberries to make sure fruit was good in the baskets and the girl working actually asked me to not touch the strawberries. The whole point is to pick the fruit that looks good to you. She was more concerned with how they looked than actually helping a customer. I also asked if the fruit was local. The helper said “Yes, it is from Santa Maria. ” So not local. Won’t be back!
Normally I like to give high ratings to small businesses run by families, but this place had a very limited selection of fruits and other stuff. The Mandarin oranges suggested by the cashier was very sour and not sweet at all. Although they were expensive at $2.99 per pound, I threw them away because they were too sour to eat. No wonder this place does not give out samples. Too bad.
Hidden Gem. Love the produce here, a little expensive but worth it.
No fruit/vegetables in the beginning of November, they said they would have citruses after thanksgiving.
