It was a moving, emotional experience for me. It also felt very personal to me, like a compressed growth experience. Edifying. The Orcastra was wonderful as always, but even more so as they were performing the sound track of a major motion picture as the movie was playing in the background. You need to listen to the soundtrack and then hear the San Francisco Symphony play it in perfect sync with the movie. Amazing! They also had a special drummer accompanying them whose artistry raised the performance to a breathing level. The audience jumped no, leapt to their feet as the performance ended.

Wonderful acoustics. Went to Lang Lang concert. The second part of he concert was great too, talented musicians and conductor. If you are going in the evening, there are plenty of street parking spaces around it (just make sure not leave any valuables inside your car). The hall is mostly covered with carpet and it marks easy to walk with high heels. Don’t forget to access to the balcony at the top to enjoy the cityscape

Sat in CC, 102 and got great acoustics. Man in front was tall and obstructing when he shifted position often - but it is music so it isn’t like i needed to see anything.
The seat has easy access to lobby as well.
First time back to Davies since covid, you get a cup from table (and lid) to fill at drinking fountain.
Person near us had alarm go off during performance and had to dig thru purse and check ipad and iPhone to find which one and how to turn off. I pondered this a while as listening to the music - maybe the ask at the beginning to mute devices should have a long awkward pause and speaker is staring at audience. Then repeat the message. Yes i am talking to you - go to each device and turn off alarms, set DND, airplane mode, etc, we will all wait now for you. Yes you.

Beautiful, modern hall that has an intimate feel from most seating areas. Comfortable seats with wide areas between rows and wide aisles. Nice views of City Hall from the lobby. Parking at the Performing Arts Garage is recommended with two entrances, one on Grove, one on Gough. There are seats behind the stage that are interesting for the behind the scenes view, but you won’t be able to hear the music well from back there. Other areas including mid and back Orchestra and Loge acoustics are remarkably clear and loud.

Beautiful concert hall. The acoustics are amazing. We loved it. Every instrument and note made the music perfect. They have drinks, cocktails, wine and grab n' go food. It didn't say on the website but they were checking for vaccination cards, go early to fine parking. We paid $20. Also go to the top floor and look out at the city from the balconies.

Modern and classical in a harmonious mix in a great location. SF symphony was magnificent. Take some time to come here.

We're back for the fantastic return of "Colors of Christmas"! We have missed Peabo Bryson and his talented guests for almost 6 years. We are so glad they're back. And it's also nice to hear the San Francisco symphony orchestra once again. I'm looking forward to seeing it again next year.

The overall acoustic quality of the Davies Symphony Hall is much better than Zellerbach Hall at UC Berkeley. It’s a nice hall!

Went here with my friend to see Yuja Wang. She was amazing. Hands were even faster in person. <3

Beautiful hall! I have been here multiple times, and always enjoy coming back. Today, I was here again but this time for a pop concert (Charlie Puth). I have to admit it was really cool to be able to dance in a Symphony hall:)

Magnificent hall with magnificent orchestra. Reserve your parking, it's a must or else you'll suffer finding place to park elsewhere

Performed here tonight with the Israeli Philharmonic orchestra, Great hall, acoustics are very transparent, play good and it will sound good, play bad and we'll. Don't play bad

Great to bring kids from ages 8 so they can understand better. The movies are great and let alone the symphony is amazing.

Beautiful symphony hall in San Francisco. It's a big modern hall where all the seats have great views and the sound is excellent. Big stairs and hallways make it easier to move everyone around.

The sound was lovely and the hall is beautiful. The seating is a bit dated in that it faces almost directly forward. I was in row B on an end. This meant that looking at anyone other than the harpist was awful for my neck and that I couldn't see past the third musician in. I don't recommend the first few rows here.
