Lou's Records reviews
17Sad to say, but I'm done with this place. Lou is consistently rude. I've been shopping here for decades and I can honestly recall that almost all my interactions with the owner are negative. I want to support my local record store but at a certain point, you just have come to your senses. Luckily there are other great local record stores, place where you won't leave feeling you were treated poorly. Kindness and courtesy matters.
You have the greatest selection I have ever seen. Purity Ring is my favorite and I've never seen her shrines vinyl in a shop. You outdid yourself. Also, I'm a big vhs collector and to have Tank Girl and Hackers. Best Record Shop Ever! Also, today was my birthday so this was an absolute special find. THANK YOU!
The owner is consistently rude. No one even acknowledges your presence when you walk in. Lied about records being on back order that I have found on sale AND on Amazon Prime. Would have preferred to buy local but guess he doesn’t want locals to buy from him. His employees are nice and can be helpful if you approach, they seemed embarrassed by his rude demeanor.
They treated me like nothing, I went there to pick up a souvenir for my friend in Oklahoma, we used to visit a lot in the 80s, it was important, I took a bus from fallbrook, the girl was more interested in her phone, she didn't care that when I told her what it meant to me, how sad, never return.
Classic place to browse cd's and records. Good selection and new music.also sell record players
A respectable record shop for a town of this size. Not quite as good as Spin in Carlsbad, but still very good. My primary complaint is just how many of the sections are mislabeled or have incorrect artists in them, but that's minor. I still found some good stuff.
I admit it. I have a problem. I stop at any record store I see. Lou's is a gem. Wide selection. Good people. And young people in the store. Always good to see. My only criticism is not enough used. But he said he's working on it.
My favorite record store from 16 -40 yrs old …then I moved. Helpful staff and great selection.
This is a hip little place with tons of great vinyl. They buy and sell. Popular with younger generations too. It was mostly teenagers when I was there.
This is a cool little record store. I recommend it for enyine that is looking for vinyl and cds. I just wish it had a/c. I would have spent more time looking thru their selection if it wasn't so hot.
Haven't bought anything from them yet, but I went there right before they closed on a Sunday asking for some advice on something I bought elsewhere. They were perfectly honest in letting me know the mistake I had made, and I decided to listen to their advice and bought a better record player. Thanks to them, my music listening may be changed FOREVER! Thanks to the team at Lou's, I'm looking forward to buying records from them in the future (staff was very nice, understanding and laid back. I couldn't recommend them more!)
An institution. Have a good collection of CD, vinyl, and other media. I would be broke if I lived closer.
LOVE Lou's. Most solid reggae and punk collection around. Well organized store and the best staff.
Customer service is lacking. Had a similar issue as another reviewer that left a 1 star. There are other places willing to take my cash. I wonder how much longer this place can make it with this kind of mentality.
Went in to buy a gift certificate, but also had a really old gift certificate that I used, bought a couple of LPs. Classic record store, so much new and used vinyl, lots of rare record and box sets on the wall behind the counter. Also CDs, DVDs, and other things of interest.
Lou's is a place of music genius in four four time. CLOSE YOUR EYES YOU CAN HERE IT. OPEN THEM YOU CAN SEE IT. WHEN YOU LEAVE YOU'LL BE MAKING IT.
Definitely a hidden gem! At first I came in and thought, ok, just another record store with not a lot I was looking for, but then was rewarded by searching through each section and finding some excellently priced records, along with some limited edition really cool new records that must have been left over from a previous Record Store Day. Spent a nice chunk of change here on stuff that I've never seen before. Come on in and check this place out!
