I recently purchased what I thought was a kids electric car. It was “new” and in a taped up in a box. I trusted it was the correct item and when I went to open it recently to prep it for my nephew’s birthday I was dismayed to find that the box contained a huge Christmas tree. Apparently their staff does not make sure they are pulling the proper items. So make them open for inspection to confirm everything before you sign for receipt. Now I am without a gift, and own a Christmas tree that I don’t want.

Can get great deals! It's a gamble if the goods you are buyi7are going to work or not. It definitely on their website that items are sold as is.

I almost don’t want to give a review because I don’t want everyone else knowing how awesome their weekly inventory is and bid against me! I am such a groupie of the San Diego team, Iv even joined the LA auction and made the drive happily!

I was approved for a refund on a fridge that was factory sealed, but didn’t even turn on. I followed all of Loveseat’s instructions and returned it to the warehouse. I have emailed their support three times and have received ZERO response about my refund. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated on this. There is no number to call so you can’t even get in touch with someone, which makes you feel like you are getting scammed since they owe me my money back. Would NOT recommend

Used to be a great place to find great furniture, but the last purchase we did it was terrible got 4 items, 1 of the items was lost at their warehouse (suppose to be getting a refunf for that) the other 3 items the description stated appears to be new, well a couch we bought came with no legs and hardware, also missing a pillow (should it be posted as partial item). A vacuum we purchase came with a note in the box for the reason of the return it says vaccum does not suction which should've posted as a damaged item but not only that the vacuum was incomplete. Third item a tv console came damaged and with no hardware. I dont know what happened to this auction but I certainly anticipate a dark future.

What a way to lose your hard earned money. Be aware before you make a bid here, they used to be great and honest, I don't know what happened here.

Last Wednesday 8/31/ 22 I bought a Juicer (self-cleaning juicer plus) brand (POWER XL) from Loveseat auction. It was a trash that I had to put in the trash bin. It was very dirty and it seems worked for many years and didn't work property. I am very disappointed that I made this purchase from Loveseat.

Loveseat has a great selection to bid on. Associates are friendly and very helpful. Definitely a must!

Great prices but most importantly great people. I delivered to there San Diego store and was treated with a employee jumping into my 53' trailer and sweeping it out. Not once in 32 years of driving has that happened. Thank you all, stay healthy and have a blessed day.

I recall when loveseat was starting out a few years back, and were buying mid centrist modern pieces and reselling them. Seems like the right move for them to have made the shift into consumer returns, and auctioning off pieces. I’ve got a few items recently from there, and I understand “taking the good with the bad, ” but today I am beyond frustrated. I purchased 3 separate pieces in the last auction, and paid for a driver to pickup, yet only one piece was there. They did offer to refund, but I declined as they stated I could pickup all the pieces Tuesday. I send the driver back today (Tuesday), they’ve only located two of the pieces (as opposed to all 3), and I still would’ve taken but the missing one is the most critical. Now, I’m only initially offered a refund on that now piece. I feel a little bad as I was less than courteous on the phone to non-management, but at some point, I suppose you get what you pay for. By the time you add up the headaches, waiting and inconsistencies, not to mention potentially damaged products, it’s not really worth the hassle.

I love this auction and got some decent pieces here. But in my last purchase I got 2 items - not cheap that does not even turn on. There were not any notes about that in description
Dyson vacuum I won for $130 and it’s missing the main part!
Nothing like that was mentioned in the notes.
And there is no place to call or email on their website!

Lots of damaged stuff, poor descriptions, as-is policy where they won't refund even if there is an open box where they could see damage but didn't list it. They just want the broken stuff out of the warehouse, and are happy for customers to pay for it.

Loveseat is an “auction, furniture store” that sells junk. It’s a totally scam. They label items “open boxed” or “factory seal. ” But withhold any information about the item. They also will not let you view it prior to buying. Buyers beware. I suggest staying far away from this business. Use your money at a local thrift store instead.

Auctions are legitimate, fees are excessive, customer service is non-existent. Business does not inspect the products they sell and chooses to list the items at a higher level than they actually are in order to generate more bids and revenues. They have a category for 'Open Box', 'Used', 'Partial', 'Damaged' etc.but also the fine print for 'Open Box' definition as 'Item has not been inspected. May be in partial, damaged or perfect condition. ' They will hide under the fine print any way they can and do not refund the money if they categorize the item as a higher condition item by mistake or purposefully.

I wouldn't recommend shopping with loveseat.com unless you're prepared to get a faulty item.in an auction where i won three things, two of the three did not work and were both broken.one was a vacuum cleaner that had obviously been used for years by the previous owner and broke so the people returned it - the box was filled with black powder and vacuum was filled with pet hair and wouldn't turn on.customer service was not of any help.loveseat needs to do a better job at vetting items they accept and be more transparent with buyers.be wary of "item unknown" - because it could mean the item is in perfect condition but also could mean the item is broken and has shards of glass waiting for you when you open the box.would not recommend shopping on loveseat - their products are not vetted well and customer service is not helpful.

This place adds a 15% buyer premium, so after you place a bid it ends up costing much more. They also do a buyer ID verification with stripe that stores your ID forever. Some people don’t care but in the age of hacking I think this is overkill for some secondhand stuff. Then “Ernesto” responds which is an automated canned copy paste message over and over.

My first purchase:
1. Queen platform bed (missing headboard), no problem. I was ecstatic with just the platform. Got lucky with great condition and no missing pieces.
2. Won 2 floating shelf ***** had severe mold in the back where it hangs from ***** was not advertised nor shown in any photos.
3. I won a 2-piece galvanized tray set. It was accurate on the site and accurate on my invoice. My mistake was not opening the box in the car to verify. I received the wrong item when I got home.
***STILL WAITING ON A RECOMMENDED COURSE OF ACTION*** Email response said to fill out a return form but it is not user friendly. You can input the incorrect item however, you will need the email that item goes to. YOU CANNOT use your email because they do not match. Therefore you cannot fill out the form.my newbie tip:
1.spend what you aren't scared to lose money on.
2.not being able to preview items in person is a risk you take.
3.read everything on the description and look at pictures.if you don't get a warm and fuzzy use your best purchase judgement.
4.open your items at the location to make sure it's the correct one.

* regardless off obstacles, I will continue to cautiously browse and possibly purchase from the site*

Just because they don't categorize an item as damaged, or partial, doesn't mean it isn't either of those things - so contemplate that when you think you're getting a hefty discount in the auction. Loveseat does not do a good job assessing and then communicating item quality via the platform. So, you've won your auction, you go to pick the piece up, and 30 minutes into assembling a piece of furniture, after you've carted it home and unwrapped everything, you find out that some hardware is missing, or that metal pieces have been twisted/bent, or that there are substantial wear marks on some pieces.it's just not a good experience. Some pieces have been in good condition, but I've been burned multiple times as well.

Most of the items are partial pieces which can be frustrating. At pickup location not sure if the young girl was new but it all seemed unorganized as it took her awhile to locate my item.

This is a garbage company. There's a reason they don't have any listed phone number for you to call otherwise they would be inundated with disgruntled customers. Sell broken or missing item garbage that they buy for pennies on the dollar at your expense. STEER CLEAR.
