Loving Hut (North Park) reviews
19Food was very good and quickly prepared. Prices were fairly reasonable too. That being said, I feel like the starters/sides were a tad pricey for the amount you get.
We ordered for pho thaiC chicken sandwich and lucky chowmein.very sweet and lacked flavour. Not good for vegetarians who’ve never tried meat cause it looked too beefy and repulsive to us as 100% vegetarians. At every morsel it tasted like meat and that’s not a good idea for someone who’s never tried meat before. I wish vegan didn’t have to imitate or replicate every meaty dish.
The staff recommended the coconut tofu and rice dish and it was so crispy and flavorful. It really did not disappoint. I’m excited to come back and try some more dishes! It’s hard to find good vegan food and I think this place has done it.
Best place ever in my opinion, and the Pandan cake is my favorite I will definitely be coming here more often!
Delicious vegan food. I had the garlic noodles called Cha cha garlic noodles and the cheesecake. Both were delicious
I've been "loving" this spot for takeout food (pickup by me)! I first tried the Blissful Pho, which has a rich umami broth. Definitely stands up to a meat-based dish, although not exactly the same. This time around I got the Royal Noodle Soup & Thai iced tea. So good! Nice portions & excellent service in store. I will keep coming back
This restaurant is a vegan's paradise. I am not a vegan, but I must admit that their food is amazing. I had a Cha Cha and my friend had a bowl of ramen; both of our meals were delicious.
My Cha Cha's texture is comparable to that of real shrimp, although a little chewier. The flavor they cook with is incredibly tasty. We also sampled their well-known cake.
We loved the food here! They have fried oyster mushroom drumsticks, Thai pho and burgers and all of it is good!
The food is great and vegan! I could never get sick of this if I ate this every single day! YUM! (My 11 yr daughter Rina said)
For me, it was a bomb! I rad the royal noodle soup, it's a bit spicy and fill of flavors. Service was fast and clean restroom. Wish they have the same menu in phoenix
This used to be my favorite place. Now it's under a new owner & im so sad. The food is stall pretty good. But now they are charging more money for less food.
A friend recommended this place but I'm not a vegan. This place sells fake meat. I don't mind eating a plate full of vegetables tossed in Mongolian sauce but they used this fake chicken which had a weird texture. I wasn't a fan. And the server kept referring to it as chicken. He should say like fake chicken or beyond chicken. The garlic noodles were the best but I didn't like that fake cha cha shrimp. Again the texture is weird and gummy. I couldn't enjoy it not knowing what I was eating. Like what are all those fake meats made of? I don't miss meat to eat fake meat bc I don't deny myself the pleasures of eating real meat. When I was told it was a vegan restaurant, I thought I would be served a lot of vegetables uniquely cooked. But they offer these classic dishes with these fake meats that to me has a weird texture. Btw, parking sucks in that small plaza.
My favorite vegan restaurant. I found my first one in Elk Grove (Sacramento), then in Toronto on vacation. What a wonderful surprise! There are two here in San Diego that I know of. It's Asian food, though I'm not sure if that's an accurate moniker for it. In any event, I've never had a bad meal at a Loving Hut. This location in North Park has a Blissful Pho that feeds my soul as well as nourishes my body. I always feel welcomed by the employees who are excited about the food they serve and I also leave feeling calm and peaceful. I can't speak highly enough of this restaurant.
I needed a quick lunch when the conference I'm attending provided an undesirable vegan option. Tried the impossible BBQ noodles, which is a Bun/vermicelli noodle salad. It did not disappoint. Service was friendly and food came out fast.
Delicious food & desserts! Great people too! I came on Sunday afternoon 8/14 after Church & the 2 young ladies were very friendly & helpful! I didn't get their names (nor the chefs) but they all are a wonderful team! Thanks for making my experience a pleasant 1!
Loving Hut is one of my all-time favorite vegan chains and this location is no exception. The food was absolutely delicious, I have always liked everything that I have ever ordered on their menu. The Pho is amazing. I loved their spring rolls as well. The employees were very nice and helpful. If you are vegan or love pho, you have to try this place.
After ordering about 30 minutes ago today, I waited for the gal to get me my bottled drink and water, as is customary for them to do after payment. She just sat there staring at the screen; there was no one behind me. Meanwhile, her coworker in white gloves had been sweeping the floor with a broom came over to ask me if I’ve been helped. I told him that I was waiting for her, but asked the guy for my bottled drink and water. He proceeded to get me the beverages WITH HIS DIRTY CLEANING GLOVES that he just cleaned the floor with, including capping the water by pressing hia dirty cleaning gloves flat onto the water cup lid. These people evidently are oblivious and clueless about cleanliness or customer service. Good food but doesn’t outweigh their poor and dirty behavior. No mas and no more.
I absolutely love this place it was my first time me and my family have ever came here and the service was great! The people were great the atmosphere was completely sanitary and I loved the employees Blake, Madison and Orion were the individuals who helped serve me and take my order and There is not a doubt I will be back again!
It is so hard to do vegan and Asian cuisine without being stuck with tofu. Loving Hut has nailed it though. Flavor's on point texture is on point. They've knocked it out of the park!
The chicken substitute used on the lemongrass was incredible and maintained the Asian flavor without sacrificing texture.
The fried rice, I've had vegetarian but never vegan. Again, they got the flavor and texture down solid.
Now I've buried the lead. The egg rolls were unbelievable. Both the fried and the steamed are probably some of the best I've had vegan and non-vegan. (Ate them before I realized I didn't have a picture)
This is always my go to vegetarian place. I'm not vegetarian by any stretch of the imagination but I do enjoy the food here.
The burger is ny fav.
