Lowe's Home Improvement reviews
20Thank you for having a peculiar way of serving everyone equally and the respectful joy you bring.
I’d prefer NOT to shop at Home Depot given their political leanings, but Lowe’s doesn’t make it easy. They have lovely people staffing the garden center, but the selection pales in comparison to Home Depot just across the street. Also, they just installed new self checkout machines but you can still only insert or swipe your credit card. No tapping, no ApplePay. What was the point of that costly upgrade if it still doesn’t use the most updated convenience in technology? Bizarre choice by management. Anyone under the age of 40 helping y’all out with this stuff?
This has to be the nicest Lowes I’ve ever been to. I must’ve been asked five times if I need any help. Lots of employees and they are super nice. It’s definitely worth the drive off of the mall and restaurants and a bunch of other stuff.
Customers in the Palm Springs area have options. Given our horrific and ongoing experience lasting six months plus with Sara and our kitchen, we’re taking our business across the street to Home Depot. Our kitchen purchase and experience has been nothing but problematic and to this date, still not resolved. The associates at this location have no idea of what’s going on. Their common response when calling is, you can leave a message and someone will get back to you.
Numerous items were delivered damaged. A painstakingly and time consuming experience lasting two months ended up with the items being back ordered, delivered and sitting in the store for over a month. Out of frustration, we went to the store. Low and behold there was a box with our name on it in the kitchen section. Based on the label, the box was delivered and in the store for over a month. No surprise the back ordered items were not only damaged but the wrong items. The associate’s response is “we’ll get back to you. ”
Our experience with Home Depot directly across the street, has been effortless and pleasant. Home Depot is our now go to source. It’s a hard pass for us with Lowe’s.
8.23.23: The saga and negative experience with Lowes continues. We received several of the back order items. Two of the items delivered were damaged. Additionally, items delivered were the incorrect size. This is one of numerous re-orders that were either damaged and or the incorrect size. To make things worse, we received an auto generated email from Lowes "congratulating" us as the order is completed. It should be no surprise that you can't respond to the email.
8.29.23: Still no resolution. The negative experience and lack of customer experience has lasted eight months plus.
Great place to shop!
I always find what I am looking for at Lowe's
Great prices and great customer service!
I stopped at Lowe’s to grab two large Brute trash cans to help with a roof leak in one of my warehouses. With tropical storm Hilary and now todays weather, it’s definitely needed.
I wasn’t allowed to take home items I really needed - and paid for online - because Lowe’s demanded I showed an ID. Some moron broke into my truck and stole my wallet. I won’t have one until Tuesday. They gave ZERO thought to my situation. None.
I run a large construction and remodeling business running *millions* of dollars in materials. My business partner is a large cannabis contractor here in the valley. Maybe if I showed them that account, they would have helped me.
I’m cancelling both our Lowe’s contractor’s accounts. Way to train your people, Lowe’s. Home Depot obliged, no problem.
They never have been or never will be Home Depot. Craftsman tools are made in China and there's no lifetime warranty lotus did that great. NOT
Looked for someone to help with a product - not a lot of competent employees now. Finally found someone who said, “ not my department I’ll try to find someone”. He showed up, I told him the product I needed, he looked it up and said we don’t have any at this store. Palm Desert has 30 of them, you should go there. Wow, no suggestion as to ordering and delivering it at the Palm Springs store - go elsewhere! This Lowe’s is down the toilet- they need to find some employees who give a damn about customer service. Time to find a new store - Home Depot is across the street and there is Ace!
Way better than home Depot. Everywhere I went in the store employees were asking me if I needed help. Recommended big time
As soon as someone enters you should be welcomed I didn't get that or anywhere I had to seek out for help
Decently clean store, but finding a employee to help you. You have better luck finding Waldo.
My husband and I were shopping in the garden department at Lowe's today and I was not feeling good so I sat down. An employee by the name of Jesus gave me a bottle of cold water. It was really appreciated and thoughtful. Thank you Jesus for helping me
The nice thing about the Palm Springs location is that you’re never in danger of any employees offering to help you find anything. They are far too busy standing around in groups of twos and threes chatting.
Even if you’re standing in an aisle and clearly staring at products, they will avert their eyes as they scurry by.
If you manage to physically block one while they’re on their way somewhere they *will* help, but the usual Lowe’s service is definitely absent at the Palm Springs location.
It's a big store you can find practically almost everything you're looking for, they have nice employees that can help you in any way.
And one of the best things about this store is that it has lots of parking so you don't have to worry if you can find one or not.
Overall is a great store.
Well I went in I need something for a pool table I'm restoring but I'm not quite sure what it was or what it is I went to the paint department and I show the man this picture. I had told him that it was a pool table I was restoring and I needed whatever that would black stuff on top was cuz I want to restore it that it was wood underneath but I need something to make it real slick on top and smooth and I sure I even told him twice it was a for a full table he still thought I was talking about the floor I don't think he was listening very well. But other than that everything great.
Hubby and I bought our stainless steel refrigerator at Lowe's at such a great deal that we just couldn't pass it up. From customer service to receiving our delivery, it was excellent! We will definitely be coming back for more shopping on our home up grades.
Went to the PS Lowe's and they didn't have what was advertised. Nobody around to help except for the girl rushing in with trash yelling at my gf to stop from exiting the store through the entrance! Lol she lives life on the edge.
Edit:
As you see from the response below, Lowes is again asking ME to reach out to them. I am still waiting for that months long promised return phone call, yet Lowes is asking me to call them again so that I can yet again spend my day on hold, repeat the issues and concerns that I have already spent countless hours on the phone addressing with no resolution. No thank you, Lowes. I would like that ("elevated to management") call back that I was promised in April, have followed up on multiple times, and still not received.
Oh my goodness, whatever you do do NOT purchase cabinets through the Lowes design center. We began our kitchen cabinet project last June (yes a year ago) and still have an unfinished kitchen. Nobody at Lowes customer service seems to have any desire to help resolve this. We have had so many issues (ranging from them "losing" our purchased appliances, to the contractor denting our fridge and Lowes not taking responsibility, to receiving multiple damaged items, just to name a few). They just keep pushing the problem off on another department (currently the cabinet dept at the Palm Springs store because they are calling this an "in store" purchase even though the entire project was purchased online through the design center with Jordan Arnall and Ron Clemmons). I have now been waiting two months for a call back. We should never have paid for this project up front.actually we never should have purchased through Lowes. Lesson learned. I hope someone else can learn from our experience and not have to go through this. We just want the kitchen we paid for finished. As I write this review, I have been on hold for over an hour with customer service (I have spent many, many hours on hold - often only to be told that I will get a call back; a call which has never come.).
Lowes is a higher end version of Home Depot (which I do like) but the prices are higher as well.
Its hard enough to find help in any Lowes. First employee that i saw was very attentive. He ask for help not knowing the answer to my question where i encountered Luke in the painting department. He was very helpful and engaged with me which wasuch appreciative. Thank you for the assistance from both gentlemen
